Gaz saying he didn’t know about the Michael Jackson and the building behind him till today morning, He mentioned it in the last episode and even pointed at the building
@@Sivart713 our humour is pretty unique compared to the rest of the world. What’s great is you can almost say anything you want to your friends and it will be laughed off. British humour is just hard hitting jokes and heavy sarcasm and I’m all for it😂
Genuinely the best football podcast I've ever seen. Fav part of the week the entire past year for my final year in uni was turning on RU-vid in the car on the way to campus and seeing a new STF episode. I think we may need to bump it up to two episodes per week lads 😭
That moment reminded me of my Dad. He used to have us listening to Deacon Blue when he was driving me around here, there and everywhere to play football as a kid. Good times. I still listen to them now because of that.
Gary Neville for me is great as the presenter. He just throws things out there, keeps it flowing and lets the rest of the guys run with it. The mark of a great presenter is when they aren't the main focus of the show.
Gary Neville is a legend. I am 51 and watched united all my life and Gary's defiinately in my all time best united team. Hes so under rated Neville.. probably because hes humble and not showy.
I love the relationship between Roy and Ian. They're a perfect mix of roy bring harsh and negative while wrighty is always cheery, always seeing the positives. Love this podcast.
Gary talking for 10 minutes about the time he went to Georgia in 1996 only to be told that he never was and he actually went to Moldova... Absolutely classic Neville chat!
Nice to hear Darren Anderton getting a mention. Unlucky with injuries and much underrated. Was a great passer and had a lot of skill. An important payer for England in the mid-90s.
I absolutely love this show. Great personalities having insightful and hilarious conversations. This show should continue for the next few 20 years please 😊
I think there IS a fear factor, because of the enormous weight of expectation from the fans and the media. English players in this tournament have looked petrified...frozen by fear. This explains why they pass sideways or backwards and walk with the ball....too scared to be seen to lose the ball so take an easy option. I think the team needs more psychological support.
Roy Keane would never wear an England Jersey. No Irish man would... Another good episode, I like them just chatting at the start, and you can tell they get on and can slag and have a laugh with each other, which makes it so much better. I do hope that it will stay on youtube and not go to TV thought. It would ruin it. #Overlap
Their not Irish. Even if Grealish used to tweet "up the Ra" before he decided to play for England. Also, it has done Grealish well, being unbelievable this tournament. He's known more for his calves than his football these days 😉
@@JoePerry36 Dumb argument as they're from Irish descent and represented Ireland at youth level. Certainly more Irish than the 8 non Irish players in the 'Ireland' Rugby team.
a substance or matter in a state in which it will expand freely to fill the whole of a container, having no fixed shape (unlike a solid) and no fixed volume (unlike a liquid).
Remember one overlap show where Ian was talking about visiting Roy's house and watching football and enjoying tea and toast and Gary was jealous as hell 😂😂😂. I think Ian and Roy get on because they are honest with their emotions and bring out the best in company. Roy is always relaxed around ian
How did we ever live without "stick to football" there knowledge of football is absolutely astonishing, and I love the start of all the shows just normal chat great job to all involved.
Had a dream I went out on the lash with Roy Keane last night. It’s totally and completely down to watching this and him being such a top man. Also trying to manifest this into existence! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
@@hannahlister9660 understandable but I think the whole point of the overlap is you get to see under the surface of him. How he has a joke but then you see this soft side to him. Love that man!
Episodes never seem long enough. Could literally what hours and hours of stick to football. Selfishly would love an episode everyday. Such a great podcast/ content can’t even remember what I did before this 😂 Brilliant every one and thank you
IW is completely right about the pressure cooker, never before has there ever been an army of critics been able to deliver their poison than right now via social media
How have I already seen this episode? 😂 I was sat here confused when Neville started telling Keano about Jackson on the balcony and I thought “but you spoke about this the other day” 😂
@@johngranahan6102yeah, really weird they mention it and don't bother to elaborate. If there's one thing wrong with this sort of thing it's these weird in jokes that nobody but them get
The Overlap is like the modern-day old XFM shows with Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington. I'll frequently put one on in the background even though they're 20 years old, can see myself doing the same with The Overlap eventually
What a show. I've said it before and it's worth repeating, this is THE best football show in existence and will be for some time. Bravo to all involved.
