I think the main differences between the older Clueless Gamer episodes and now is that *someone* gave him a mandate to (1) stop sexualizing the female characters to a creepy level (even for me and I love Conan AND a good time lol), and (2) stop harming Blay so bad that he has to go to the doctor for special bruise cream 🤣

What gamedev doesn't love some think-aloud during playtesting? 😁

As long as they keep playing video games which are not blatant sponsorships by the producers (EA, Activision, etc) then chances are, it'll be good. Conan would have to be careful about his criticisms of something if he is being paid to "play" it. A lot of those previous Clueless Gamer episodes which featured another celebrity were obviously marketing stunts. This format with Aaron is the best. Just let him pick the video games and let Conan do his thing free of the pressure to not be too critical or else he upsets the video game producer and developer. Conan's lack of interest and experience with modern gaming means that no other gamer is actually taking him seriously, therefore it's really not going to upset the sale of any video game he plays or spectates. We just like to hear Conan express his perspective in his own unique way since many of us enjoy video gaming and might not look at the video game in the same way he does, given he doesn't even understand what is going on most of the time.

Its always sponsors bro. If its not Samsung TV then its the game they play, or the console they use. Its not a coincidence they always play the latest most popular AAA titles. Nothing wrong about this though, its just how it works

@@Pauly421 Quite the contrary, IMO the fact that this makes me laugh without a laugh track, proves that it's truly funny. Canned laughter is a cheap psychological trick abusing the fact that humans are group animals (the trick sadly works somewhat, even if you try to resist it)

@@shredd5705 Yeah fake laughter can be horrible I agree, but the old episodes used to be played to a live audience as part of the show and recorded their reaction, thus making it not "canned" but genuine. I enjoyed it myself.

Ya rip games being enjoyable and not just cash grab time wasters plagued with 10 year olds.... Can't even play any MMO on PC anymore it's just solid cheaters. The final fantasy series is good. I've been done with anything online for like a year.

Conan and Aaron had been doing Cluless Gamer since a decade ago back in 2012

they used to be shown to the audience at the show and you would hear their actual laughter but this is post tv show, this is basically the home made team coco version

Just like how during the pandemic a lot of the homemade versions of talkshows didn't work, but Conan was consistently funny.

Because most of the jokes in the other shows were bad but people were forcefully laughing, Conan is genuinely funny and that's why he don't need those to make a fun show. With audience or without, he'll always make people laugh

Audience reactions were cool but if they added a laugh track it’d be annoying.

What he probably could of done is presented the clueless gamer video in one of his live audience pod cast. Then record their reaction. BAM audience reaction.
