Take advantage of Kody while he has it. Buddy K has always had a tremendous eye at the plate. It's the primary reason he is here. I support that plate discipline we so badly need at key times

I still don't understand that either. They valued Rojas defense more I guess? Clemens has been great all year for what he's worth. He's no Bohm but for a call up guy he has definitely over exceeded expectations and deserves a roster spot.

Thank God the Phillies won a wins and win this time of the year, having said that what the heck is the matter with Harper and so many MLB players not hustling , they look at the ball at home plate when they hit it hard put your dam head down and run your ass off when you hit the ball hard like Harper did, they pay these guys millions of dollars . shame on all these millionaires not hustling!!!

THE BALL WASN'T GOING OUT? Are you guys blind? So Rojas should have just let it go over his head? I don't recall Ben or Ricky ever being outfielders, or ever having high level defensive abilities whatsoever. The scapegoating of Rojas is shameful, dude makes that play 9 outta 10 times but it's somehow not the fault of Estevez for giving up a bomb to center field after making a pitch in the nitro zone.

I agree, put any outfielder there making the same play the exact same outcome will happen. It's physics, the ball didn't land in the palm and main netting of the glove, any further out and it would've been a snow cone. In no way was it Rojas's fault, it's just incredibly unlucky.

It's time to bench Bryce for a bit. Charlie had the balls to make a statement by telling J Roll to take a seat, and Topper needs to show the same leadership. Relying on the guys in the clubhouse won't work, because one of them is who dogged it out of the box (and has done it repeatedly). Re: Rojas, Ricky Bo needs to stick to topics he knows, like chucking at Barry Bonds' thigh. I'd say the same for Ben but I'm not confident there are topics he knows. That ball wasn't going out of the park, sure, but imagine the crap this town would be giving Rojas if he didn't go hard for it. Or if it bounces away and the guy gets a triple anyway. I'd rather a kid play hard and make an oopsie than do anything like what Harper has been doing out of the box multiple times this season.

I really like both of these takes however, I don’t know if we can really afford to lose even the long singles that Harper provides right now especially with these games mattering more and more by the day. Phil's made contact throughout the game. Small ball will pay off. If those hits had eyes, could have score 4 or 5. If they were whiffing or strikeouts, more concerning.
