@@young-blk-investor1059 really butt hurt about me recounting history that you had to comment twice. Also, who cares if Wall was hurt? This is about Paul Pierce talking reckless like he finished the job.
Started following the NBA a few years ago now. That was one of the first hype moments I ever saw a clip of - basically made me a Clippers fan (well, I'm a Kawhi fan, he just so happens to be on the Clippers so lucky them I guess =P ).
That Kawhi shot was easily the most incredible finale to a game I've ever seen. I'm so glad I experienced it live. The entire city exploded in fanfare when that shot landed.
I humbly disagree. Damian Lillard not only hit a three that put his total points at 50 but he did it from Ober 30 feet in a game that they didn't even need a three because the score was tied. On top of thaf, it closed out the series. Onto of that, it pretty much broke up that Ojlahoma City team. I know it wasn't in the finals but it was the biggest shot I've ever seen.
@@ContextReallyMatters I mean, I said "that I've ever seen", as in, that I've personally witnessed lol. I'm sure that was dope but I didn't see that live on tv, or at all, so it's not a relevant matter of contest. I bet it was pretty cool though
I'm an MJ fan forever...but that Kawhi shot was probably the dramatic sports moment I've ever seen live...it was that bounce that made everybody hold their breath LOL
Gotta remember the Lebron block… no Cleveland titles in 54 years, game 7 after down 3-1, facing 73-9 best record ever team. I witnessed it at a Cavs watch party in CLE and I’ll never see anything like it again. The entire city lost their minds, yet in a peaceful way.
@@jasonplays3334 Even by Dame’s standard, he thinks he wasted a majority of his career with Portland, this is not coming out of nowhere. Also learning the difference between unfulfilled and successful wouldn’t kill.
Even more insane is realizing that the Lebron, Wade, Bosh super team would have only won a single championship without that rebound by Bosh and shot by Ray Allen.
Super impressed with the mix of classic and old school footage along with the current day stuff. We may be far removed from the black and white and non-HD days, but these clutch plays were still clutch no matter when they were scored. Great representation here!
Have to give compliments to the editing here. Not only combining a great mix of classic and new footage, but the fading of one sequence to the next, letting sentences finish, etc. It's extremely well-made and polished. Top notch stuff!
Imagine complaining about editing like wth this isn’t where you review videos like wtf This has nothing to do with what the videos about “Not only combining a great mix of classic and new footage but fading of one sequence to the next, letting sentence finish. etc” 🤓🤓🤓☝️☝️☝️
I remember watching that Tayshaun Prince block live.... he came out of nowhere, and it was so clutch. One of the most underrated blocks of all time, glad you put it in here.
@@dorianthemenace Dudes can't play defense these days. If you didn't play defense, then you were going to lose. Back then you needed a complete team on both sides of the ball to win, today you just need better offense.
Man that Horry 3 is grilled into my brain from watching that live when I was like 8-9 years old. I remember screaming at the top of my lungs when that happened. I don’t know what it is about the three peat lakers, but those playoff and finals games were on another level of high stakes and so damn fun.
The Fisher shot is an all timer. Not just because of the shot itself (which was insane) but also because Tim Duncan had just hit an impossible shot to win the game. That was the script, the headlines were already being written and DFish just said no, not today.
Robert Horry being clutch in the finals twice with two different teams is crazy as hell. He’s the epitome of a player that I take a nap, I wake up, and there’s a chance he gets another ring.
5:19 Always love how Lilliard tried to look so casual before breaking open. Defender was pressed, but he still couldn't have expected him to immediately break free. He doesn't get open without that.
Everytime I see that Paul Pierce clip it makes me a little sad cause I remember how he hit another game winner later in that series, but it was called off thus depriving the basketball world of a remarkable highlight.
Yeah that was one of the first series I remember watching live pierce was cooking in the clutch sad his fingertips just a little bit too long, would've went to 7 otherwise
I remember watching Tay block the layup by Miller in that game! I swear that momentum carried them through the rest of the playoffs and I will never forget that moment.
All of these videos are great, but (I think because of the catering to the online audience) they sometimes really emphasize the past 7-10 years. I'm 2 minutes into this one and it's already showed iconic 80s and 90s stuff, probably lesser known to some fans (Grandmama's four point play, the astonishing Ralph Sampson shot). This is just a next level compilation. EDIT: Not only did they add stuff from the 70s (pretty much everything I'd expect except maybe Havlicek stealing the ball or Gar Heard), but they nailed the last three plays too. This is the best highlights channel on RU-vid.
Thank you for pointing out those two moments, i feel like they shouldve definitely been in the vid and nobody here addresses it Still a great video though
In case you didn't notice... the person who made the video is a Lebron c*ck-sucker, and couldn't even bring himself to put 1 Curry highlight in the video. He barely even put Jordan in it. So understand that this video is actually a Lebron tribute video.
The 4 point play has to be the biggest shot out of all these videos for so many reasons. If I remember the Knicks came in 8th seed and they were never suppose to make it this far. If your from the city it was PANDEMONIUM!!!!
The block by James still gives me goosebumps. But honestly hats off to Kawhi. He both has an all time highlight and seems to destroyed Ben Simmons as his career nosedived after that series.
I know it wasn't a series or even a game ender but MJ's shrug after his sixth first half 3-pointer in '92 was definitely iconic. Great video, loved watching this!!
great video, i appreciate you adding the older highlights too. as a fan since around 2012 there's still alot of stuff i haven't seen so nice to see highlights besides the modern nba
It really doesn’t get more iconic then Michael holding the follow through as he watches his final shot go through (we don’t talk about the Wizards stint)
I don't get why the Wizards stint is not counted to his legacy and yet it is counted in his all time scoring... Without the Wizards points, he would have been only at 29K+ points because he scored atleast additional 3K points in his Wizards stint and instead of being in 5th all time, he would have been at 9th all time in scoring...
He signed a 2mill for 2 year dirt cheap deal to play for the wizards in 2001 after getting involved in the team front office. Also, he donated his entire 1 mill paycheck in 01 to the 9/11 relief program. He wasnt playing for his legacy for those 2 years. He knew he was already solid
The exchange between Spike Lee and Reggie Miller, topped off with Reggie shooting them out of the building with his 3’s, is the greatest S.T.F.U moment
really? Bird's steal of the inbound pass from Isiah in game 6 with just a second left thus stealing the championship from the pistons, ... that's not clutch, Idk what is
I saw so many plays that would have been called foul in today's game. It's amazing to see them play it out without the game stopping every three seconds
I had no idea that the Bird steal was right after a blown call by the refs, who then tried to immediately get the ball back in play. Similar to the terrible first down call that led to Clowney blasting someone's head off and recovering the fumble on the very next play
Nah, that was how loud the crowd got. That place went nuts if you couldn't tell. I was a Kings fan but also a big time Horry fan so I knew when he got it that it was going in, it was bitter sweet. Dude is clutch. He could have his own highlight reel of big shots in the playoffs.
Kawhi for the win may forever stand as my favorite moment. That shit was so insane to watch in real time. I was screaming all on my block like I was a die hard Raptors fan or something 😂
As a lifelong Heat fan who grew up on Uconn basketball (Ray was my favorite player), his "shot heard round the world" gives me chills to this day. I was watching it with my dad when it happened and we wen't ape shit, started hugging and jumping up and down screaming so hard we fell over 😂
As someone who’s born in 2000 and doesn’t remember much of NBA before 2010, Kawhi’s ECF shot and Kyrie’s 3 over curry are the most clutch playoff shots I have seen live
Trust me young blood, there have been some super crazy ones before you were watching. That being said, Kawhi’s shot deserves to be pretty high on the list.
The Horry shot was the most intense shot i have seen. We all thought Kobe or Shaq was going to convert the shot. We didnt expect the ball to be batted away and directly to Horry. And, as you see in the clip, Horry wasnt even frame of the camera so we didnt even know he was there. The thunderous crowd still gives me the chills. The Kawhi shot was amazing but we all knew he was going to take the shot. A missed shot would have ended in OT so it didnt have the same impact on me. The bounce was crazy though.
That Stockton shot & commentary 🔥 still remember when I was kid watching the Jazz win but I wanted them to lose.. cuz they always beat the lakers.. now Stockton is one my favorite players of all time
the best moments are when they involve 2 legends...like Stockton's shot in Barkley's face or Jordan stealing the ball from Malone or Duncan's shot in Shaq's face or Bird stealing the ball off Isiah's pass
@@jordanmyers7266 prior to that shot, the NBA rules stated a player could not physically catch/turn/shoot in less than 0.7 seconds. D-Fish did it and after they reviewed it about 234 times they had to change the rules because he very clearly caught/turned/shot within .5 seconds. Drained it too, that shit was soooooo hype
Yea, but 90% of the time it was him. This is a Lebron tribute video, so you'd barely even know Jordan existed if you watch it. Curry isn't even in the video once. This isn't a really sports channel.
