I can not stress just how much of a blessing this interview is for Knicks fans. My father LOVED Clyde and we watched every game. He passed away in 2021 from Cancer and all I could think about while watching is how much of a pleasure to my father it would have been to watch this. Thank y’all. Seriously. Thank you.
@@B-RobbyAnd Knicks fans still hyped up Kuz with the chants when he’d shoot. “Kuuuuuuuz”. Like with Deuce. Knicks fans are the best at supporting role players
As a long time Knicks fan, I'm so proud of you guys for recognizing the importance of paying homage to the Legendary Walt "Clyde" Frazier!! Let's get spinning and winning fellas!!🏀🏆
I don't think ppl understand how much INSPIRATION AND CONFIDENCE these young brothers are picking up from the Icon! As a matter of fact, if the Knicks win it this season, right here, this interview, this session is why. From Clyde/Patrick/Brunson. Spree/Houston/Camby did well, but those guys next level.
Josh Hart decribing how he rebounds reminds me of Jeter at shortstop, he just read the ball off the bat quicker than almost everybody. Same with Josh, he might not be 7 foot but he reads the ball off the shot and bounce. Awesome. Jalen and Clyde our GOATS.
No one realize what just happened as soon as Clyde showed those rings that’s the motivation I saw in Josh hart and Brunson face they are going off I smell 30+ tonight
Wish you guys asked: What was it like facing Jerry West? What was it like having Wilt Chamberlain in the paint? Best villain ever in the MSG Best moment as a broadcaster on the Knicks A little more history! Love the pod. Go NY go NY go!
Clyde is right. Win the Championship and the roof gets blown off. I understand what he saying. Good games are cool but win the Championship in NY and you a legend.
@MrPayne134 you definitely got it on that. But for alot of us (me being a fan since 1992) the closests I ve seen is June 14 1994 and 8th seed Sprewell Houston Cinderella run. So to alot of us. This was our moment. Don't belittle it.
It was cool seeing my dude Clyde Frazier on the show but I thought that they would ask him some questions to let us learn more about our legend and his upbringing, special times he experienced as a New York Knicks champion. The Roommates needed an additional hour to go in deep with Clyde. Maybe in the future they will do 2 hour specials when they have extraordinary guests on the podcast. I am a diehard Knicks fan who loved to watch Clyde do his thing. Clyde's restaurant was 🔥 as well as his dress and cool demeanor. Keep up the great job on the court and your podcast. Let's Go Knicks! 😎
Watching from London UK, this has become one of my fave podcasts. I also love listening to Clyde - such a lovely energy and great insight. By the way, it's so comical how Jalen and Josh especially deliver the adverts 😂😂
These are my Guys Man!! and they are so very Blessed to have a legend like Clyde impart basketball knowledge to them. Keep Balling the right way stay humble and Good things will Happen.
I love the show, but this was really a special treat. I grew up watching Clyde. I absolutely LOVED him. Back then, the student organization gave us tickets to all the Knicks games and I don't think I ever missed one. I was just a kid, but I remember women throwing their panties - not sure if they were throwing them to Clyde or Willis Reed. I screamed at the top of my lungs, but I kept my panties on...lol (Given my age at the time, they were probably Dr. Denton's....lol)
its insane how they talk about crazy games and how loud the garden can be mean while the first 2 games, im sure theyre probably like "so this is what Clyde meant sheesh lmao
Me and Walt Frazier. So, 1973, I am 12 and in basketball camp, NY State. Who shows up? Walt Frazier shows up. 20 of us little monsters mobbed him. He took a ball, started dribbling and dared us to try and get it away from him. 20 kids. TWENTY. And...we absolutely could not get the ball from him. He could dribble with one finger of one hand. He could dribble the ball 2 inches off the ground. 20 of us! We were like a swarm. And we still couldn't get the ball from him! Dean Meminger, from the Knicks, he was also there. He would do this drill, where he would shoot from the free throw line, make the ball hit the front of the rim, and bounce right back to him, one bounce! Saw him do that 10 times in a row. Another guy was there, a 3 point expert, from the old ABA. I saw that guy hit 30 in a row, from 3 point range. The skill level of these pros, was beyond description. And, you know, all nice people. When we were trying to get the ball away from Frazier, he had a huge smile, ear to ear, on his face...the entire time. You know, the guy was a complete star. He didn't have to hang out with us little kids and play with us. Just, you know, an entirely good dude.
Watching this after the first round series is dope. Hearing Jalen talking about finding a way to win even win the star isn’t playing well is crazy after GAME 1 and 2
