I continue to be amazed by the level of detail in these models and of course the level of attention to detail you put into building them. The owner of this puffer is going to be a very lucky chap. Can't wait to see the finished model with the steering chains fitted. What a cool feature ! Thanks Peter, take care ! Garry.& Ruby
Hello again all 😊. This model has now reached the stage where I can actually imagine it getting finished!! It's been an awful lot of fiddling work and not something I'd ever care to do again. Much prefer working with wood yachts now which is my current alternative therapy, building Puffin a 36inch yacht from scratch. Not a kit so everything has to cut out. It's going well and makes a good project when I'm tired from the Clyde Puffer model and it's wet outside - as it has been these last few days. But I've pencilled in Wednesday for another ride into the Western Dales to do part 4 of the ride you haven't watched yet (only part one is currently 'live', the other 3 are loaded ready for the next few Sundays release. Yes I've actually got ahead of myself - nice feeling, is that! Bikes are running beautifully. See you tonight. Love to yourself and Ruby and say "morgen" to your friends from me. Peter x
@@Lanes-Explorer5733 Yes, it does look like a heck of a lot of work. You should feel a tremendous sense of satisfaction once it's finished though, I'm sure. The yachts already look too tricky for me but the puffer is next level detailed and complex ! Keep plugging away though, almost done ! Cheers Peter, Garry & Ruby ❤
Hello Paul and thank you. I never used to be very patient but it seems over the years I've developed a more relaxed attitude to life. This particular model build has sorely tested me at times though and when I agreed to build it for friend Phil I didn't quite realise just how fiddly it would be. The motorcycling is a great way to unwind after a session on it 😂
Thanks Alex. It gets more interesting to do now that I can begin to see the vessel emerging out of what seemed to be a never ending task of assembling little fittings. The wet weather has helped 😂😂
That’s impressive Peter. It’s going to look great when it’s finished. Will you have room for an onboard camera? I recall you doing that with a model yacht. It was fascinating watching the sails being trimmed and the boat heeling over. All the best. Roy.
Thank you Roy. Yes I'm pleased with the way it's starting to look now with all the details going on. It seemed as though I'd never finish it a couple of months ago but the poor riding weather has really helped me to move it on. I'm building it for a friend so I don't think he'll be wanting an on - board camera though it's a sailing model rather than simply for display so I'll use my 'floating camera platform' to film it out on the water. Best wishes, Peter
Hi. Sorry but I've no experience of the Caldercraft. All I can say is that this Mountfleet far and away exceeds my expectations for quality.. Best wishes, Peter
