Penta is always great to watch. Easily a Main Event worthy match up. Penta would make a great Champion. He might not speak good English but he has a mouth piece. His wrestling and character are top notch. Punk winning at this stage is the way to go. Looking forward seeing more from both these great competitors. 🙂

I’ve met penta in person he was able to have a entire conversation with me in English no and again had to ask what I said but as being British are annunciation is obviously different from American English but even if you gave him the mouth peace he would be a fantastic world champion

Just a year ago I could have never dreamed of this match could actually happen. I love wrestling and the fact that this kind of matches are now a reality on a weekly basis is so crazy and awesome at the same time!!!! To all wrestling fans out there, enjoy this era of wrestling. Enjoy this roster because we dont know for how long we are going to have so many talented wrestlers at the same time and in their prime. We have to enjoy it while it last and hopefully the next generation is going to be even better.

So I don't mind botches as long as you can make it look real. Cause it's believable that Punk had a knee that wasn't working right and he couldn't jump high enough. So I think it's fine.

@@gman2015z I've always been a fan of his. I started watching Wrestling in late 2014 where I watched Raw, Smackdown, Lucha Underground, Impact, and NJPW every week for 3 years. And so I was very aware of the majority of the talent in AEW when it first started and Lucha Bros were my favorite from the get go. So glad I got to see Penta vs Omega at All In and Lucha Bros vs Young Bucks at All Out 2019.

I am always happy when the audience is fully involved in the match and reacts to all the blows and gestures of the fighters. CM Punk stumbled hard on the ropes and the overall impression of the fight deteriorated, and the pace of the match slowed down, the fans certainly did not disappoint and help CM Punk in this awkward situation. Penta showed himself perfectly, he knows how to do it, bright super kicks and in general he always holds himself in the ring with dignity. These fighters could not disappoint and they coped with the task of opening the show.

AEW giving us PPV level matches on free TV is something I never going to get TIRED OF......this match was amazing, that counter of the GTS was hype and the ZERO MIEDO chant was so cool, and the final counter of Punk was excellent, great sequences there, Punk showing more and more he haven't loss a step in the ring, also the possible botch covering, both Punk, Penta, the ref and commentary did an excellent job covering....it looks like was part of the match, not even sure now XD.

To catch someone mid air requires a huge amount of strength. CM punk clearly showed us he still got it. Shout out to Penta though for that split second hold to make sure CM punk was set to catch him

Holy shit this was a fantastic match. These exchanges from the storytelling, the side apron brawl, the GTS catch, the Old School Boy to Anaconda, that BEAUTIFUL high kick to enziguri reversal, and then that GTS CATCH?!? This match had me screaming more than a paperview usually does

Looks like Punk botched that top rope slip up, about 0:50 they had a conversation in the corner to get it going again. I liked seeing Penta catching the 1st GTS attempt, but ultimately Punk is on his final run before he retires again.

This is how the rankings should be, wrestlers need to emphasize the importance of rising for the title shot. Just having great matches doesn’t make it meaningful if there is no goal.
