My experience has shown that it is not a good idea to steer the wheels unless they are just off the ground as it puts too much strain on the delicate steering components. Instructions in some steerable models will confirm that. Great moldel typical of CMC. I'm fortunate enough to have a collection of 20 CMC models and I love them all. Exoto was the only other brand with equal and in some models, even better details.
Thank you, I worked in the commercial insurance industry and just retired last year. I have been a devotee of very accurate scale model cars since they were created. Some spend their money on fancy cars, homes, vacations, etc. I spend it on the things I appreciate and treasure - diecast and resin models. Each to his own.
