CMF Phone 1 Review: I've been waiting for this phone! 

I don't know why more phones don't do this. I still remember my Lumia 830!

CMF missed the chance to add a removable battery like in the golden era

I think it speaks volumes about what you can get when a company makes the right compromises and are not shooting for the moon in terms of margins as relates to sales.

Shocked they wouldn't release this on prepaid carriers and unlocked seems like it would be very popular

A very neat phone actually, i may experiment one soon in the near future

$200 phone w/ real personality, and 2 yrs of prompt major OS / 3 yrs of security updates! Hey Motorola, what's your excuse now?!?

I think the phone is great for what most people use their phones for. Email , mesaages , social media, banking apps, youtube etc. 90% of people don't need or have a use case for flgaships. Its a want not a need. This is trying to make it fun again as you said. I like it. The only serious mistake they made was no nfc. They will feel that mistake and correct it on the 2

Would like to see moto-mods type attachments

This is a really cool device that offers so much amazing value, but I find the choice to add a 2MP depth sensor really baffling. Even budget phone's have been able to take decent portrait photos with a single camera for years at this point, so It seems very much like they put it there for the same reason any other company does: to make it look like the phone is more expensive than it really is. A 2MP macro atleast kinda has a use, a depth sensor may aswell just be a sticker on the back

Nice ... would have loved a 6 inch phone , but besides that really good for $200.

This is 300 USD in my country. Official reseller and store. Nah. No way at this price.

While I understand sacrifices do need to be made for $200, 2 years of major updates sounds too close to benchmarks of good and bad. It feels like somehow less than the bare minimum of 3 years. (I'm not a developer/programmer/etc. so I don't know how hard it actually is. Just commenting about how it feels something like indecision landing them a silver medal.)
