What are your experiences as regards to 22lr ammo for full auto? Are you experiencing reliable operation only on stronger HV rounds like Mini Mags or are you also having luck with bulk pack / SV ammo?
I usually just run the cheap 40 grain Federal bulk pack that Walmart sells. Reliability is pretty good. I found the key is to keep the upper well cleaned and lubed, otherwise it starts to choke. CCI Mini Mags run well too - definitely a higher rate of fire with those.
@@lrm1981 Many thanks for your feedback- I have recently put together this set: M16A1 RR, 10.5inch 5.56 upper, CMMG Bravo 22lr conversion kit with the CMMG anti bounce weight and auto sear trip and the the results are so far not the best as regards to slower ammo. It seems to run well in full auto on the hyper velocity rounds e.g. Remington Viper, but the odd hickup / misfeed still happens. Still need to really spend time tuning this up - it seems the anti bounce weight is more of a hindrance than a help when running the slower bulk pack rounds. And yes - always cleaning everything after and ensuring its clean before a range visit - seems to be very sensitive to this. Just trying to find one type of ammo that is at least 95% reliable - with 22lr prices its not that one would shoot 22lr FA all day everyday anyway but would be nice to have an ammo type which is reliable and no hassle for this application.
Hey bro I got a question for you maybe you can help me out or tell me have you heard of this scenario.. when I have the AR and semi-auto it functions pharmacy when I switch over the full auto it fires one round and I had to eject the round and round has a slight primer strike on it. I cannot get more than one round out of it on full-auto
