Canadian Military Pattern Heavy Utility Personnel carrier, a New Years Tradition taking one of my old trucks for a drive on New Years Day.
Excuse the opening in the dark, wanted to catch the cold start of the engine with 6 volt system at 20F.

Nice to hear the cold start. My dad had a new 57 Plymouth 6 cyl., for some reason or other it was still a 6-volt system. After two cold winters in New York State, (no garage at the time) and the car failing to start at least three or four times, the old man walked into the house, swearing like Ralphie's dad in "A Christmas Story" -- "G*d*amed Plymouth would freeze up in the middle of the Sahara in July!" and never bought another Chrysler product as long as he lived! He had owned a 1951 Kaiser Henry J and a 1954 Willys AeroLark and loved both of them, after the Plymouth debacle, he bought a 1959 Studebaker Lark and later a 1963 Studebaker Wagonaire. He seemed to have great luck with the non-big brand cars!

Brilliant Phil. Good to see how well 6v can work in such cold.

Driving a right hand drive in traffic is not a problem as generally I'm the slowest thing on the road. I understand driving right hand drive car that the problem is it is impossible to pass another vehicle on a two lane road. Only problem I have is with roads that curve hard to the right and you want to turn left, your view of oncoming traffic can be limited. Cheers Phil
