I want help as my mother is confined to bed due to brain tumor Her left side is paralyzed she had two operation of brain tumor but in vain she is bulky and can't be shifted by me as she can't stand up ln my City I can't find belt also PL help me how to shift her

Hello, sorry for the delayed response. It sounds like you need Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy to come to the house. They then will outfit your home with medical equipment ie. Trapeze, Gait belt, mechanical bed everything you need depending on her specific needs. You need a home consultation immediately.

I'm in Massachusetts I never see something like this before 🤦‍♀️ are we in 2022? Or 1930 🤔 You don't need GLOVES and GOWN for this skill. the foot rest has to be remove 🤦‍♀️ And you said SANITAZE your hand with GLOVES ON 🤣

We are following the Mosbys Textbook and doing it by the book it helps students pass the CNA exam. The gloves are not required for the skill but I was making a point. In the hospital I would maneuver differently. My students have been passing the exam. I promise compare the step by step skills and videos for a CNA program and you will notice some differences from an acute setting.

Bogus demonstration, the patient is walked backwards to the wheelchair, most will not have leg strength, and you would have dragged them onto the seat, you had it too far away.

I appreciate your point of view albeit critical, however we teach the skill as needed for the nursing assistant training state exam for Massachusetts and our students have been passing without trouble. If you have a video of yourself performing this skill we'd love to see it
