If you want to buy a CNC foam cutter rather than building your own then this video gives you a couple of choices

Jedicut recently updated to version 2.4.2 and this caused a few guys problems with very slow running. The fix is explained in the video
I'm just purchased an MKS Gen L board to use on the foam cutter. I explain the reason and the upcoming video.

your vids are very helpful and informative, thank you, plus your well designed website, Im actually building foam core wings for ultralights (microlight) and your vids are great help, my foam airfoils will be about 16" wide x 5" height x 48" chord length using the blue structural foam (derived from vari-ez) at 2# per cubic ft density, I use aluminum I-beam for main spar and carbon fiber tube for rear spar, then i skin with carbon fiber, weight is only around 30 to 35 pounds for each wing,

Hi Keith! Hope you are ok, and thanks for all the work you share with us! I know i'm 3 years behind with this question, how do you get the g code out of Jedicut, and where does it store the file, scratching my head here!? I have a Devwing foam2 license, but this .dat shit anoys me, i'm using Vectric and SW and those programs does not help me with .dat . Hope you have a nice summer with good weather and much flying, Regards, Peter, Sweden

Hi Peter, look at the options tab and select Gcode. The dialogue shows the directory where the g-code is stored. I don't use Jedicut it's a strange program. DevWing Foam and DevFus Foam work well for me.

@@rckeith Look at that, found it, thought the file would be saved with the name i gave it plus some known ending, but it was saved as " Gcode by jedicut_***********.txt, very different compared to all other programs i use. Went out to my garage to try it, and it works, just have to adjust to the speeds, big big thanks Keith! I will take a closer look at DevWingFoam2 later on, to busy with work right now, but for now i will make some quick simple cuts with Jedicut! Take care and thanks again, Peter

Hi Keith, new here and have been watching quite a few of your videos👍. I have Jedicut installed OK, but the preview screen shows the airfoil as a line 45deg. on foam block. Any ideas.

Try a different airfoil. It sounds like bad data points.

I have bought a fox alien hot wire cutter. Can this be modified to a 5 axis cutter if I could change the controller? How would I modify this please? Thank you

Dear Keith I hope you get me wrong, and that the other companions too, but I endorse the words of our friend Nathan! I hope your arteritis doesn't get worse! Have you thought about doing traditional Chinese medicine sessions? It helps a lot in your problem! I say this because I'm a TCM graduate and I know what I'm talking about! TCM has nothing to do with believing, it really works, and it has been doing this for at least 2000 years! I wish you well, big hug Victor Lalanda
