cnetoncars.com Bentley's top of the line is the coolest tech den on wheels. Take a ride in the Bentley Mulsanne, the most expensive car we have ever reviewed.
The best line in a video yet when talking about the heat emitted by the engine: "If you hit a pedestrian, I don't know if you'll kill them or cook them." Also a nice look into a different world. Thanks much.
I really don't understand how an automatic picnic table, 2 iPad's and 2 wireless keyboards can be worth north of 33 grand. Unless Bentley owners are stupid with their money, no one should be paying for that option.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This car review most definitely changed my mind about the Mulsanne. I thought it would be worth the money to buy it but after watching this review, im going to look else where. Im subscribing! You guys do some really great work!
Princeston Mitchell Me too. I was gutted when they want to charge 15,000 dollars extra for two iPads. I'm gonna look elsewhere as well. I'm thinking Rolls Royce. I'm planning to live in the car and putting my college tuition into it as well, oh and the retirement fund too.
Twin turbos? My guess is that the head gaskets won't last any more than 50K. Drove one a few years ago (friend bought it) and the "porpoising" the reviewer described was very real and more annoying than one might expect. He sold the car after less than 2 years and was VERY happy that he could even find a buyer.
Now THAT'S a car. I like coupes way more than sedans, but if I were super rich, I might have to choose this over a Continental GT just because you get two more doors. Two more BENTLEY doors, and more of anything Bentley is never a bad thing.
for 150,000 you could have a fully optioned out and even put your own extra's on s class. AND you wouldnt have to worry about people constantly staring at your car because its so unique.
If its 58,000 for a drop down screen, cooler and 2 ipads... i gotta wonder how much car is in the 350k base price!! Maybe the deprecation shows the true value compared to other 350/400k cars that dont depreciate anywhere near this (Which you can buy for under 50k in the UK now) [2019]
The reason it costs so much is because just about every single part of the car has great detail, especially the interior. Polished steel, special leather, special wood trim, there is just so much attention to detail.
You can't fault Bentley for supplying a silly option and charging almost $60k for it. Anyone with any business buying a new Bentley can afford that stuff easily, and some would likely buy it. Nobody said it would be a sensible purchase.
A car that costs north of $400K better make breakfast, wash clothes, pay my mortgage, and never need any maintenance. That's a boat load of dough. Even if I could afford one, I would never justify spending that much on a car. However, this CNET vid was fun to watch as I'm impressed with what comes on a car at this price segment.
In an Audi A8L, you can stretch out your legs completely in the rear seat along with a footrest. I wish Bentley Mulsanne and Rolls Royce Phantom had the same option, because someone stepping up from the A8L to the Mulsanne or Phantom wouldn't feel as settled up like on the A8L but would definitely feel more comfortable...
North America is a big place. It costs a buttload more to get a car from it's port of origin or place of manufacture to a dealer on this side than it does over there.
Good review but would have preferred to hear the cabin noise levels when driving instead of outdated Drum music machine. Reviewers need to understand that these Luxury cars are never meant to be Sport cars and it would be much better if Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) tests were done.
Cant believe this car shares similar wheels with the likes of golf r and some s line or quattro audis. Also, that screen? Out of an audi a4 from the looks of it? Wish i could understand what justifies the price of this car, a lot of the tech is shared from the vw group.
Of course you wouldn't. Might be ugly, but somehow they did something right because they're selling more than the Azure and Brooklands combined, and those cars looked HOT!
It would compete with the phantom in a way because the flying spur would be the ghost but then size wise it could very well compete with the ghost... but it would probably be the phantom due to the price tag
