Just ordered my CD from her web page. I'm in America so it will take time to get here but I'm still so excited and very happy to have even the smallest part to help build this school. I will most defiantly be visiting Gambia in the future. I love and support ALL my people all around the world. I hope that I can someday learn to play this amazing instrument. Thank you Sona J. for being such a great inspiration not just to Gambia but to those who are just learning about the beautiful people of the land. I'm envious of the Mande language. Very beautiful language. My Gambia grow and prosper anion side the diaspora. One people one Africa 🌍
Sona ! You are a lengend, living angel for the Gambia our homeland. God protect you and your family, including your bigger family, the Gambia. May your dreams come to pass.
I’m literally going to put your music on before I sleep and pray my dreams are filled with just as much Peace 🦋. Love everything you’re doing with the children/youth & the arts 🎭. It will All come together! 🙏🏽
Thank-you Sona, for bringing your wonderful music, and sharing a bit of your beautiful culture with us here in Vancouver. Your love for your country, your people, your traditions and of course your music just radiates from the stage in such a loving and respectful way. The work you have put into the school you have founded, to teach the young people the beauty of their music as well as the depth and beauty of their culture, and to take pride in that legacy and who they are, is an amazing gift. To all who attend Sona's concerts....consider buying a CD or her digital music she has on sale after the show. Each cent goes to fund the academy. Thanks Sona....and please return soon to Vancouver. Even though the sun was brilliant here today during your show.....you still outshone it.
