+Scrap wood City Thanks man! Am a fan of dowel joinery as well, although I do think this particular build would be a good mortise and tenon project as well. Thank you for watching.
+FastEasySmartTOOL Thanks Kriss! Am super impressed with this stain, have used it on the last two projects and it's amazing. Am excited to get some more colors.
+David Bishop Thanks David.... like to use the CNC but it makes for pretty terrible video, need to come up with some more ideas to included it. I didn't think this way was very elegant but it's a start. Thanks for watching.
We have only kept out kids in until they were about 15lbs but we never moved them out because of the weight. When they roll over they're ready for the crib!
this was so cool, im only ten but im hoping my mom will have another one soon, and my parents dont like putting their kids in cribs so they sleep with my parents. and i thought this might be really handy to them!!!!!!!!!!
***** its the little things..lol thanks for sharing your builds. I don't know how often you sub to other channels but maybe you could sub my channel sometime and let me know what you think..
+damasydia Thanks! When I made the drawings I simply used a function in sketchup that divides the space evenly. Matthias Wandel has a good set of instructions that explains the process. woodgears.ca/shop-tricks/spacing.html
+Tyler G I guess I am more curious about regulations...I want to make it "within legal measurements" for lack of a better way of describing it...thanks
+Derek Cadmus Thanks Derek. Finished with General Finishes water-based stain and varathane water based poly applied using a HVPL gun. That water based stain is pretty incredible, have finished two 2x4 project with it recently and they look amazing...definitely my go to stain.
+Derek Cadmus It was shaker maple. The water based stain has a little bit of a learning curve to apply but it dries super fast and covers extremely evenly.
+Bruce A. Ulrich So any blade angle that you might have does not get compounded with each cut, if you flip it it gets cancelled out. Good eye, Bruce, that was sped up right there! Thanks for watching.
+Tyler G I kind of thought it was something along those lines, but I was curious. Do you know that your blade is off, or have you just found that all blades are a tad off, despite your best efforts?
Nice design. Maybe you could drill more holes for the height adjustment and use different ones so you can tilt the sleeping surface for the cases when the baby has a hard time swallowing or is coughing a lot. Being able to tilt it comes really handy for our little daughter.
+jakoball That is a really cool idea! There are already additional height adjustment holes so you could already tile it to a certain degree but it is easy to add more. Thanks for watching!
+Wooden you know it! Thanks AJ. This video didn't do as well as I thought it would...just goes to show you never know which ones will do well! Thanks for watching man.
I think it was great. I would have liked to see a few pics after it was put into place though. Maybe people just don't know what it is??? Dunno, but it's great. Keep'm coming. I'll get to making videos some day.
+Wooden you know it! If you look here (www.flickr.com/photos/diytyler/albums/72157644675902607) you will find a album of pictures from when I built the first crib. Old tools and stuff! Side note...the thumbnail picture has the old co-sleeper in it since I had already shipped the new one by the time we had decent lighting!
