Thanks so much for doing this video. I checked mine once I watched this and I ended up having some glazing/cracking issues. Just took it back to the store and they did an exchange in store! Their customer service/experience is unmatched and some of the more expensive fashion houses should follow!
Shawniece Beale I had same problem and they told me at the store they couldn’t do anything about it since I bought mine at Dillard’s, even though I payed full price and I bought the bag 6 months ago
I have my Cassie in black now for a year and haven't have any issues just a normal wear and tear... this bag is not to stay like brand new if you use it and depending on how you treat your bags if you stuff the heck out of it etc. Coach shouldn't be giving brand new bags unless there is a serious defect they are $350 not $2000 bags

I actually owned three now and I also purchased a tabby 26 and I haven’t had any issues; although I’m still waiting for the order of that metallic Coach Cassie! Oh no😔. I am extremely picky about my bags too. I have a problem with the totes with the coated canvas. The corners will wear off immediately. The last one I bought, I used for a weekend, and it wore down to the white cord stuff underneath. I was very sad, but I ended up exchanging it for a MK Raven tote. I am having better luck with MK and Dooney bags lately. Coach quality isn’t what it used to be. I did just get the Coach wallet I have wanted for a few years. I hope everything goes well with that!! I’m in bed with a migraine at the moment, so thank you for keeping me company and distracting me from the pain a little. 💜❤️
They are not made in the US anymore just like some of the LV's with the same issues. I own a 35 year old Coach tote that I used as a travel/diaper/shopper /you name it bag. Inside there is a lovely leather tag with the inscription "proudly handcrafted in the USA" - I just clean and nourish the leather from time to time. Looks gorgeous. I am very sorry the company has moved overseas and they have chosen quantity over quality...
OMGosh! So sorry you had to go through all that. It is surprising that the Cassie and Tabby 26 purchase was not in your online order history. If you have a lot of purchases it can be confusing because the customer service rep has to look through each order individually. Also, you should have received an email order confirmation. Computer glitches have been known to happen. I hope your new Cassie arrives in pristine condition. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing 😊🌷
I went to Coach with my Cassie that was less than 3 months old but had lost a rivet on the side. The sales associate just said they would replace it. Totally surprised, totally easy. Way to go Coach. My Coach was at the International Mall in Tampa.
You should be able to log in to your coach.com account and pull up your order history and print out a receipt. You also should have been emailed a receipt of your on-line purchase too. I would check both of those as well. You may have accidentally thrown away your “receipt” that they send in the return label. (Been there.😉) OMG! I did the same thing with the tag at the coach outlet. I was a tag in my jeans....argh!! Good luck on your replacement bag. I plan to buy the oxblood this Friday! I had the glazing issue with LV pouchette Métis. I was given the replacement and sold it because I didn’t want that much money tied up into a potentially defective bag style. I wanted to buy a Cassie and every bag I saw in the store had issues like yours- and they were brand new! I thought of the Pochette Metis and walked out the door. It’s a design flaw LV changed this year. The cracking will continue with the Cassie until they change the design. Bummer. It’s a beautiful bag.
Coach quality has really taken a dive since the early 2000's. I now mostly buy Dooney and Bourke..Florentine Leather collection. Super high quality Italian leather and extremely well made. I will probably never go back to Coach. 😢
It's not a Louis Vuitton bag for crying out loud! The bag was made in China! Any bag with glazing can have issues that's why i don't purchase anything that has glazing. Plus you've overstuffed the bag and had the bag for MONTHS. The vintage Coach bags are the very best well made bags and they're in high demand right now, check out what some of them are selling for on ebay, OMG!
Coach has gone down hill over the years and I too had a problem and they were of no help and were down right rude. After seeing your Cassie I purchased it because it is my perfect style and my fingers are crossed. Coach finally is starting to get some styles that are actually worth looking into. Hopefully they are on the upswing. My problem was that they sold me a bag with vachetta leather but it never changed color and therefore was vachetta color not vachetta leather. The tags said it was vachetta leather and they would not stand behind their product even when I brought in my other Coach bags with vachetta leather that has seasoned with age. Like everything else they are not what they use to be. If I had wanted an outlet bag I would have gone to the outlet.
Wow craziness with quality control.....sorry for all that trouble.....yes sure hoping the bag coming is perfect, can't wait to see. And too funny, I just pulled a pan of brownies out of the oven.....so happy you and your beautiful friend had a nice lunch and time at the mall.....would have loved to have joined you both! Last Saturday we were visiting up in Michigan, and went to Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi......awesome....so enjoyed that mall. Oh my gosh....I just received my Cassie on Friday and haven’t carried it yet but you made me pull out my phone flashlight and I have a little crack in the glazing on one side. I feel like puking. I really don’t want to send it back but this sucks. Thanks for sharing! I thought I’d checked it over really well but there’s definitely something there. Off to cry now 😰
I have 2 Cassies and I have had 2 Pochette Metis. They have all had that happen. It really is a design flaw with having that glazing at a pivot point. I sold my LVs for the Cassies. I love the style of these bags, they are really carefree to use. I would just rather use the more affordable option and live with the glazing problems. I also have 2 YSL College bags that are similarly styled. But they have no glazing and have worn great with very little wear and tear.

I’ve never had a problem with going at store with a bag without receipt and having a bag repair for warranty I’ve done it twice and they gladly take the bag even if I bought it long ago meaning years , what they do is if they don’t have the specific bag they give me a money bag if they cannot repair
I just took my black Cassie to the coach store for the same exact issue. They sent it out for repair. I’m waiting to see if they will actually repair it or just give me a new one. But their customer service is amazing!

I know the LV Pochette Métis had lots of issues and I wonder if the shape/design of these bags make them more prone to problems. 🤔 So far, I love my new Pochette Métis and haven’t had any issues. Hello! Thank you for subbing! I hope I don't let you down... :) My Pochette Metis doesn't seem to be cracking in this exact area, but it is having "soft glazing" issues on all the edges. I decided to keep my original PM though because I just love the bag so much!! Makes me wonder if the problem lies in the design of the bag, or with glazing in general. I sure hope they can figure it out because this style is definitely a huge favorite of mine!
Wow...it seems lately I’ve been hearing of a lot of quality issues with luxury brands. Very unfortunate. There needs to be more quality control. Sure hope your next one works out. Fingers crossed!
I completely agree. I truly think many of the luxury brands are throwing way too many styles, designs, color choices, etc etc into the mix...which makes production crazy and then quality goes out this window. I would much rather have a smaller selection and amazing "lifelong" quality. Vintage Coach bags are the most amazing, in my opinion. Right up there with Hermes. Vintage LV canvas is indestructible, too!
Love your video as always. OK, I want to know about the sweater you have on..love it...Now I hope your new bag will be free of any defects. You said you ordered it online...which means you probably paid for it with a credit card which means you can make a copy of that or get the number off the purchase there and they can look that up...easy peezy....like if you go on line and pull up your statement there's always a receipt number but a number as well as a phone number...try it and see if it works...it should and it will show it was Coach and the total price which would include the price of bag including tax...hugs sent your way...
That's exactly what I was going to say. Check your Credit Card Statement - for either the receipt number and get the phone number. I have found AmEx and MasterCard are both super helpful, if needed. Also, in the past (been a long time since I needed/used it) AmEx may have there own coverage for items purchased with the card.
Yes, I sure did get a confirmation from Coach....and then deleted it about a month later because I always keep my receipts in a filing cabinet and thought I had it. I'm still wondering if my package even came with the receipt...? Since Coach has no record of me even buying the bags!
I bought the Saddle 23 bag in dark denim. The bag itself was beautiful! However, when I started to unwrap it, the metal/brass part of the hangtag looked like it was rusted. I tried wiping it but it didn't work. It looked like water dripped all over and it rusted. AND the strap of the bag was pieced together!!! It was sewn together towards the end of the strap. So there were 3 parts of the strap that looked like the end of the strap, on both ends and mid strap. Never seen anything like this before! And this was ordered online from the Coach website. Ahem, quality control?
Since you ordered it online, couldn’t you just pull up your order confirmation email, or shipping confirmation... all of those emails they send have the order number on them.
Yes. Did all that...have the order number and everything. It's just that the order number has NO information attached to it. Blank on my end and theirs. So weird.

I’m SO obsessed with coach Cassie bags, I bought 6, latest being oxblood. I’ve rotated only 3 at the moment, so I have not seen any defects. I will be extremely disappointed if I see issues 😳

Jennifer, did you check your email account? Usually, when ordering online (which I do often with LV, smaller Hermès purchases or Strathberry, e.g.), I get 1. An order confirmation; 2. The actual receipt; a shipping confirmation (I put them all in one folder, so I have all of them together). Maybe you can find your order in you email account as well? Wish you lots of luck!
I have the same issue with the Cassie. I returned in 2 weeks of purchase and Coach ordered me a new one. Knowing that the issue will happen again, I returned at that time and Coach gave me a store credit. I missed the Cassie tho.
I have the Cassie in the chalk (white) color, but am thinking of getting one that's more appropriate for fall/winter. Would you recommend the oxblood, or the metallic gray? Haven't seen either in person yet. Thanks, and good luck with getting a perfect replacement for your black one.
Ohh! I love the Cassie in chalk! As for choosing between the oxblood and the metallic gray...that's one tough choice!! I love both of them and was trying to make that same decision when I was in the store. (I'm not getting either until this glazing situation is figured out on my black one, though) I would probably choose the grey just because I have several bags in the oxblood color (Coach, LV, and Givenchy). But if you don't already have oxblood...go with that one. It's gorgeous!!

If it wasn't such a pain it would be funny. Isn't it a hoot that you didn't even notice the problem until you were filming and then all these complications. I hope it all works out. I have the same bag and after your original vid I looked and can see where it could be a problem spot. If you pull the flap too far it puts a lot of tension in that spot! OY VEY!
Sorry but i dont inderstand the cracking. Is it a huge issue? Not really knowledgeable about certain parts of bags but I feel like that junction would inevitably get cracks?
Yes, it would inevitably get cracks, but not after 3 months of occasional use. Perhaps if it was a $35 bag this would be a bit more acceptable to me, but over $350...not so much. This is a person opinion, of course. Thanks!
I have the same problem with my Cassie (much less cracking, but still brought it in to prevent a huge issue) and coach refused to exchange or fix it. They said it’s the standard conduction
Do you have any issues like that with your Tabby 26? It seems the Cassie style bag like the LV PM is just a flawed designed style, sad because it’s so versatile and cute!
I don’t get a receipt in the box when I pay online. Also, I usually pay with PayPal, which is under a different email address than my Coach account. All of my purchases online hang out under the wrong email address, so I had to open a separate account under that one. It’s confusing, but maybe that’s what happened to you?

Jay bought me an LV bag for Christmas and next year I will be buying one item from Chanel and Goyard - but all classics that I will be happy to wear when I am 80. Yes, I sure did...and then I deleted it ("emptied my trash") on my laptop about a month later because I always keep bag purchase receipts in a filing cabinet....! I thought I had it!! ARGH! So frustrated. And so strange that Coach has no record of it. I'm really wondering if I even got a receipt in the package they sent. I will now be printing backup receipts, I guess.
I am still using it. I haven't decided whether or not to continue using it as my day to day planner for 2020, or to use it for extra stuff like notes, plans, etc...and use a different planner for day to day. Before I got the LV gm planner, I used Erin Condren. I would probably go back to that since I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for doing this video Jennifer. I just checked mine and it is cracked in the corner where the flap folds. It looks like it was glazed while closed. I will have to take it in tomorrow. So sad. I usually have great success with Coach bags.
I had a problem with the shorter strap on my Tabby26. One of the lobster claws was not tight enough and the strap kept popping off. They replaced both but they ended up putting these brass ones on but they had a little flower on them. I called and shipped it back and they fixed it and shipped it back the same day they received it.
I know! We used every address, phone number, email and zip code I have had since 1990. It's crazy! I found my credit card statement and it was definitely charged to my card....so strange.
Almost bought this bag after watching your videos but when I went in store they had three of them but each one had a flaw so didn't get it hopefully your new bag comes in great condition!😊❤️
I have the exact same problem with my cassie. But I bought it from amazon. I dont have access to a coach store. Idk what i could do to solve with my prob. I just try to forget it's there until I could have it repaired.
The exact same thing happened to me. Got a new Cassie a week and a half later there was cracking returned it to the store exchanged it was looking at the new one before I even left the store and noticed holes, exchanged it again right there and now my exchanged bag has cracking as well
Oh my gosh.....! I will be extremely displeased (to say the least) if the new one I get is flawed in some way. It feels like Coach debuted the Cassie and the Tabby (which got everyone excited about Coach again) and then immediately put a hundred new designs, colors, materials, flowers, C clasps etc etc etc in their lineup...so now the manufacturing has to suffer due to all these new designs. So frustrating.

After watching your last video I check mine and it is cracked too. Ugh going to call my SA. Update: Spoke with the manager at my store and they offered to replace the bag for another one or something different. Worried the next one will do the same after watching several videos. Not sure what to do.
I hope your cassey comes in and is perfect. However I would’ve never settled for repair job on a brand new bag. Also to turn around and get a second bag and it has flaws. And then you look at the floor model and it’s messed up. That ought to tell you something I always say this might be the time to walk away and found a new bag. I’m so hungry I was about to eat that brownie through this video LOL. Also I’m about to receive a Dooney and Bourke mustard colored 100% leather Crossbody bag with a big gold buckle.I absolutely love their bags I haven’t heard you mention anything about them. They still have that lovely thick soft leather. I’ll swing to them on occasion I have several pieces of Dooney and Bourke then I’m still very fond of and I will always have them. I have a duffel bag a wristlet and a hobo bag that are all done in the sail cloth material I love them hope your case he comes in and it’s everything you want

Have the same cracking issue on mine. I’ve only had it for a month and only use it on weekends. Do sad as I love this style and have never had a quality issue with Coach.
That is frustrating. I agree that it is sad. I have loved Coach for many years, but then gave them a break from about 1999-2019. I was so happy to try them again in hopes that they would bring back the vintage Coach leathers and amazing workmanship. I'm seeing now that that didn't happen, unfortunately.
Yes, I know that I am allergic to nickel, but many costume jewelry manufacturers have nickel free jewelry that still bothers me (stings) the moment I put them in my ears. It's frustrating for sure.
