Recruiting ace Nick Williams joining #DeionSanders staff to coach the defensive line
Prior to his two seasons with the #Aggies, Williams was a key cog at #Georgia and over the last few recruiting classes helped recruit the likes of #KeleeRingo, #LewisCine, #WalterNolen and #DeyonBouie. In this cycle he was one of the lead recruiters on the top defensive linemen in the country #DavidDJHicks.
“#CoachNickWilliams is a young, hungry, eager recruiter that a lot of kids relate to and love,” Hicks father David, who is also the head coach of Katy Paetow said. “He is great at building relationships. Kids look at him as more than a coach but a mentor for the young men and he has a contagious personality.”
The Texas A&M staff will miss Williams for his contributions on the field and on the recruiting trail, with one person in #CollegeStation telling #247Sports Williams is the type of coach that wears cleats to practice and runs around with the guys.
“He’s down to earth, you can’t get no better than those,” the elder Nolen said. “He’s a real family-oriented dude too.”
A #BainbridgeGeorgia native, Williams played his college football at Georgia where he was a defensive back/linebacker hybrid.
