His recap of the game was perfect. His telling the team “not to hate on their opponent” was profound. This was one of the best coach’s post game conference I have ever seen. Congrats to him, the staff and players at JSU.
Excellence is priceless, but Coach Deion Sanders has been influential and inspirational force of nature that will generate greatness throughout the JSU Football and the community of Jackson as well. However, Coach Deion Sanders has been truly inspiring and influential in the HBCU culture of making proactive changes necessary for HBCU future generations as well. Hopefully, other coaches will eventually get on board to unify the vision that Coach Deion Sanders has for all of HBCU in the United States of America also.
Coach Prime has done a tremendous Job, I repeat Coach Prime has done a tremendous Job in just ONE YEAR guys, that's a man on a mission right there, that's why I support 💯 on this journey...
Really impressed with what Coach prime is doing with JSU. Even though it didn't end the way I'm sure he (and the team) wanted it to end, he still finishes with an 11-2 season and a phenomenal recruiting class (through early signing day). He had the program going in the right direction AND there's real excitement around it. I'm interested to see what happens next and Congratulations to SC State for the win and to JSU for a great season.
I love that he owned the L, showed love to the opponents & is locked in on getting better. Excited for this guy the buzz he’s brought to HBCU football.
JSU did an amazing job this season in so many ways! Because of them, many had conversations, read more articles, and even caught a game or two on National television in regards to Historical Black Colleges. This is about more than many May perceive. He has said, God called him to do this. In my opinion he is answering that call. I believe that call was about more than a win. What God has plan for him is his and no man will ever take that away! God has something bigger planned. Stay humble, grateful, and obedient to the Lord. If you get that power 5 opportunity (that many keep speaking into existence) and IF the lord moves you to take it, Do it! You have and will continue to make history in the HBCU community! From someone whom has never watched an HBCU game in my life! Thank You!! Congratulations SCSU, you guys represented and did an amazing job!
Its never a loss when you play a more experienced team, you learn, you get better afterwards and do better going forward. GREAT WIN SOUTH CLICK AND GREAT SEASON JSU. I AM EXCITED ABOUT THE SWAC AND THE HBCU'S GOING FORWARD. Thanks for the ride COACH PRIME CONTINUE TO BE GREAT. #theeIlove
Seeing these comments prove so many points about HBCU. There’s a lot of haters instead of celebrating the fact so many eyes are now on HBCU football now. And if you think parents and recruits 4-5⭐️ aren’t looking at the comments think again!!
PEOPLE MAKING HATEFUL COMMENTS SAYS MORE ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE THAN IT DOES ABOUT COACH PRIME & JACKSON ST..💐💐💐💐 COACH PRIME WE CAN FIX THAT & IN THE PROCESS OF FIXING THAT ALREADY!!!! HATERS ARE GONNA HATE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY DO!!!!!!!
I think you are correct ... If they are truly "hateful" comments with no substance or purpose, it really does say more about the person doing the commenting.
It’s crazy how so many people so happy that Jackson State lost smh this man is a first year coach who’s won at every level and has definitely out performed expectations in his first year at coaching college level… He’s humble enough to say “we got our butts beat” he even told his team “no excuses and no hate” I have no dog in the fight I’m just happy with the overall elevation of HBCU’s it’s just interesting to see how many people have been waiting to say “that’s what u get”
@@A_Easley he said in the press conference that he got there in January… they had a few spring games is that what u mean? How about his first official season…
Humility is a powerful thing people. Their over confidence came from talking about dominating a competitor ( Coach). That started with the coach giving SCSU plenty bulletin board notes. The "Ole Lion" simply had an answer for everything you attempted. Coach Prime , you put the shine on all HBCUs and no one can deny that, however NEVER forget the individuals like Coach Buddy that has been doing this for a few decades. You can't forget that. Those ( 8) Gold Jackets at the Coin Toss ( And many others) are the reason your where you are today. That is a part " what it use to be" too. Congrats to both teams , I predicted 20 to 16 SCSU.
There are some people who are never completely satisfied until they actually have their own personal validation or attention from others. I pray that those individuals who are so sensitive need a shout out from Coach Deion Sanders should just give him a call, if possible. Hopefully, I attest that Coach Deion Sanders has never been disrespectful to any coaches in HBCU, but I sense the pettiness of some coaches who do not articulate their true concerns about HBCU path and success in the future of HBCU. At least from my personal perspective, Coach Deion Sanders has been influential and inspirational in addressing the second class conditions in the HBCU as well. As a former athlete who attended Shaw University, I know first about some of things that Coach Deion Sanders has been trying to address or resolve, but I know that some people of that crab like mindset. They have a tendency to have short term memory for their own hidden agendas, but I pray that those individuals will at least should their own platform to articulate their issues as well.
I feel he is addressing the so called sport writers and PWI Coaches that put down HBCUs and Prime new recruit, saying HBCUs are subpar and ruin his chance for the NFL. Even some questioned the education of HBCUs.
Class act coach give credit to your opponents letting his team know to uplift and don't hate. Leave all that stuff up to the fans. In the end they became champions in less than a year and brought millions to the city of Jackson. Can't knock results.
They did thier best coach prime bought JSU football program a long way.JSU accomplished great things in just a year. Coach prime has a good group of young men who worked hard this season and desrved to play in the Celebration bowl. Recruiting is important for all football programs, and coach prime is working on JSU getting more talented players to come in and help JSU win ball games.
JSU, via Coach Prime, has ushered in a new generation of HBCU football. We are about to see a lot of changes in HBCU football and college football in general.
Football is different in MEAC country. Deon got out coached by an old school coach who lives the game from way back. He saw the weaknesses in JSU’s team and exposed it. The difference is old school ball philosophy of 11 men being molded into a hardened unit willing to collectively over come impossible odds by blocking, hitting, running, and tackling. All that for one inch, yard, or field when needed. This man is a living legend simply going about his craft in a meticulous fashion to achieve a desired out come of producing MEN w/ tried and true methods. Prime is learning some things that he did not get at FSU nor in the NFL. Old fashioned down home country homeschooling.
Oh, and before we give an "old school coach" a nickname, "Old School", just say his name, "Buddy Pough", South Carolina's State's Head Football Coach for nearly 20 years.
Everyone knows he has a unique way of communicating. Sometimes the best players are not the greatest communicators. However we cannot question his football iq. To be honest i think he should have taken a position for a short period of time at a div one. Next take what he learned at that program....like game planning and schedules....combined it with his knowledge and presented it to an hbcu.......just a thought....this may still work out. We will see
What happen today was purposed to happen. Deion did just what he was supposed to do for HBCU. His lost(JSU) was meant to be Coach Pough deserve the win. But JSU is definitely without a doubt are on the rise and primed to dominate HBCU football. They will be the Alabama of HBCU for years to come!!
MEAC schools are traditionally more imposing on the line of scrimmage than SWAC schools are, even with SCST being 6-5 they still posed a significant challenge to JSU they may not have been ready for. Hats off to both programs though, great season 💯
This was great for college football in general but especially for #HBCU football. This was great, its on the national stage and its lifting all the boats. Coach Sanders is honest in his assessment of his team and the state of HBCU football.I hope we look at this for what it is, a monumental step in reinforcing the strength building young men. Congrats SC State!
What an amazing reaction, generous, humble, compassionate- I have a feeling we are looking at one of the best coaches of all time. I look forward to witnessing the journey.
Coach Deion Sanders has never been the problem. I attest some people are simply confused, afraid or clueless to address the elephant in the room. Decades of not getting things done in HBCU has been problematic and marginalized, but at least Coach Deion Sanders has been influential and inspirational force that has shined a light on some of those issues of inequalities of decade of neglect because of financial decisions about choosing predominantly white institutions over HBCU for decades has been shameful as well as unacceptable behavior.
The good news is we ( Thee) can all sleep well . Nobody tryna take our coach away after the awful coaching today . Gotta take those points coach , that play swung momentum. And then that 4th and 19 tho … Damn son , gotta get better ❤️🩹
I'm for all HBCUs, I know yall traditionalists are hating but you can't Deny the fact that Coach Prime brought more attention to HBCU football. You can like who you like, that's fine. Yall are so small minded, you're missing the Bigger picture! No one was selected to the NFL last year. The way yall think, it will be this way for the next 20 years
Prime sure can market himself and his team! He put a target squarely on his chest. Seemed like he motivated his opponents more than he motivated his own team! That was noted when the other team scored, all they wanted to do was rub it in. But that's how you learn!!
They don't have 3-5 at every position bro, they got a lot of 4 star receivers but most of their Oline are either walk ons or 2/3 stars, their RBs are either 3 Stars or walk ons. The only 4 stars they have on defense are the Dline, most of their secondary they rotate was already at JSU and Deion just kept them and the others are 3 stars aside from Nugget being a 4 star. JSU didn't have a single 5 Star until TH committed fam fam, Quay Davis (Receiver but can't play yet) and Shadeur was definitely close, but they aren't/weren't 5. Their rating was a couple of points off.
Some people will always be negative force when an individual(Coach Deion Sanders)who is simply proactive and tactical with addressing the problems in the HBCU's landscape. Coach Deion Sanders has an amazing and exciting aura that tends to intimidated some people who may lack some confidence in themselves, so they project their insecurity towards Coach Deion Sanders for whatever reason.
You got a bowl at 11-1 against a 6-5 team And you got crushed 31-10 wtf 🤣😂🤣😂 Where do you go from here? So if you were 12-0 you probably would still have the same match up, and now what?
The bottom line is ....he will definitely get a bowl win 2 maybe 3....the other team wanted it more it happens ...he lost before on the highest level of football before he won...thy will be back next season in the celebration bowl again watch...if coach prime wasn't the coach for JSU SC state wouldn't even played this good ..see prime has a affect on all teams not just his
Coach Deion Sanders, he has set the blueprint and the model for how to respond to handling disappointment or defeat. Coach Deion Sanders has been influential and inspirational human being who knows his true worth from God as well. Coach Prime has vision for his football program as well as HBCU, but he has been the best example of how to get things done!
Dude! Neon Deon, arguably one of the best corners in the business. He didn’t like contact too much, but you didn’t complete too many passes in front of him either. I agree with coach Prime. They weren’t ready. Overconfidence and got shook. Still an 11 win season, that’s respectable in any conference, power 5 or not. Note: hire yourself a great QB coach to work with your boy. But, the line didn’t help. Good luck next year!
I really like what prime doing at Jackson state but come on man when you lose it’s always we need better players some time you just get out coached just man up and say that and move on stop blaming the players when you get beat then praise the coaching when y’all win!!
Coach Prime Showed love to the winning team. Promoted a corner on SCSU and was trying to help his draft status. He said they got their butts whooped. What else do y’all want?
Maybe this will humble all of them not that the hype is over. Now get back to grinding. This falls on the staff for not getting them prepared. The QB is not ready for the moment better get a solid back up ready.
Why would he need to get better than the Jerry Rice award winner? I'm sure he will recruit a QB but slim chance he's the next JRA winner as a true freshman.
@@CoachGeneClemons why would you even say that as a coach? Your job is to get better at every position so why wouldn't you be optimistic that you can find a player like that?
The best comment "We got out physical " .........I believe ; this lose experience, will lead to a better outcome. The word "Physical" .....has to be present. On a championship team, JSU ......has to recruit 5 star players, not only at the "skilled positions ". But, also the Defensive & Offensive linemen positions. Could be considered the "Rock" to a team. My recommendations would be drafting 6" 5 / 300 linemen would be standard. Also, building depth at each position. On defense 6 DT, 6 DE, 3 NT, 6LB, 6CB , 4 SS . On offense 3 centers, 6 guards, 6 Tackles, 3 TE .......No one should be, less than 6'3 275. All top recruits. Coach PRIME has the credential to draw ......all quality players for JSU legacy. The black community provides, these type of inventory of young brothers. Go JSU
Look at the transfer portal three *3 OL, Coach knew their weakness, he’s building a foundation for next year. Awesome job JSU “Thee I Believe”.💪🏾🙏🏾💪🏾🙏🏾❤️
I was just here for the negative comments and boy O boy did I see them. I have never seen so much hate on a man at JSU until prime came. Shade so thick I need glasses!
I don't get it everyone so high on mediocre play I totally get some of it being it's for the my people I get it but can we please stop for a minute and stop pretending this was elite level play and horrible coaching deion doesn't know how to make serious hard decision cause if he did would of definitely pulled his son absolutely can not see the field
No more than 60 years ago...white folks didnt want black athletes with A Florida State UGA Alabama Clemson etc etc wearing a uniform...now they get angry and envious because some the black athletes wants to represent their own people at a HBCU...my son is a a Jr High school top notched baller...as a black parent History is very important ...why would my son go somewhere other than my Alma mater to get attention from people that just care about how much money bragging rights or athletic abilities and not my well being education and perseverance... black young adults are better off at a HBCU...
I see we go alot of negativity for a coach who hasn't been with his team for 365 days yet. I just wonder would alot of this trolling come out if he hadn't got Hunter to sigh to JSU. Cause usually black college fans don't talk this greasy about other teams coaches after a loss.
I think a case can be made as you say about his focus (or lack thereof). He speaks to all the ways they got beat/out ___ed; but "out-coached" is never mentioned. When you call yourself "Coach Prime"; it's a little tougher to reach that level of humility.
No losers here! He knows the talent in these conferences but I think his players didn’t! Makes for a great season next year swac and meac! State got to get their band numbers back!
Coach Clown is about getting new high-ranking "dawgs", so that he can lazily win to get a FBS head coaching job. I need to be more sensitive because he sounds older than Great Coach Oliver "Buddy" Pough. Losing softens a clown's manufactured arrogance.
Coach fans if you die today will you go to heaven? Have you ever lied, stolen, hated, used God's name as a curse word (O-M-G)? According to God's law, you're guilty, your headed for hell, ignorance will not be an excuse... But wait, God loves you, he made a way out for you, God's son Jesus died paying for your sin. God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Love Y'all
Bro stop it … everybody always knows the answer to the problem . Before he got there JSU was a joke on the football field for years. He’s doing damn good. 11-2 is a winning season, along with a Swac Championship. Him talking shit obviously wasn’t the problem. Anybody that knows football, knows that. 💯
@@GBDirty30 I think you're both right. He's doing damn good and the bulletin board material Coach Sanders provided may not have helped JSU's cause today.
WTH! I'm a FSU fan and Prime got the 5 star fare and square. Stop acting like a baby. I wish Prime got the FSU job over the loser we have now. Prime will compete with power 5 schools in two years. Deon help build the FSU legacy. How dare you not wish him the best.
Karma??? you must be Kraka with that shit, I'm from Florida, FUCK FSU, why do they do for Black People other than using their them for their fucking pockets...
