I wish people like you would stop putting so much pressure on this team, and let them develop. Prime hasn’t said they would shock the world, he only said they would be better and they would compete. Prime knows he doesn’t have the numbers and he can’t go 2 deep in rotation like some of the well established colleges. It will take some time.

Add to that a phenomenal hard nosed D Line coach, a HOF Player and one of the Greatest Ever as Head Coach, PLUS the phenomenal Colorado environment, food, strength coaches, etc - it's the best kind of fertile ground for anyone who has a seed to be great to grow into some of the most phenomenal players ever. Coach Prime's ability to speak to the soul...the psyche of his team is phenomenal. Coach's use of psychology in order to motivate his men will be the difference between victory and defeat this season. A winning mindset and attitude is slowly reaching a crescendo within the hearts and minds of the CU football players. That buildup or process is a beautiful thing to observe. I remember Michael Irving speaking at my high school two a day practice at Canton McKinley in 2007, the year he was inducted into the hall of fame. He gave that same type of energy and speech. Definitely a legend.

If you play football long enough you can pick out the people whom never played a team sport let alone football. Forty-eight years old and only played high school and as I ride home with the windows down the smell of the country grass snaps me back to Friday nights under the lights. You'll never forget the two a day practices in the hot sun(South Carolina). Never forget walking in school Friday mornings with your jersey on. Walking around town with it and grown ups patting you on the back. Little kids eyes wide and happy they this close to a football player. I don't know how they didn't have tears in their eyes listening to Mike. I did. He told not one lie. The only sport.
