@@Whatsthe_dill facts! My barber is the same age as Coach Prime and from FL…. Used to play football in high school, didnt get a scholarship… BITTER! I CANT HAVE A HATER LINING ME UP!
I’m biased because I live in Tampa and to me, Sapp redefined the under tackle position. The Tampa 2 all started with him. He has been a lot of things over the yrs but I’m telling yall right now no one is better at breaking down film than him. He is an excellent EXCELLENT teacher at the position. Unlike Keyshawn, Sapp LOVED practice and loves everything about the game. Colorado/Deion made a great hire here
I am 46 now and will be 47 in December. For my 15th birthday, in December of 1992, I had an impactful interaction with Deion that influences me to this day. My mom knew Jerome Kersey, and got tickets to a Portland Trailblazer Vs Golden State Warriors game. The tickets included a banquet/basement style dinner in the ole Memorial Coliseum. I saw Deion at the dinner, he was eating by himself, and it was like he stood out so much because he had a different swag back then. This is at the beginning of his time with Nike when the Deion Sander-Clause commercials were airing, that is how I noticed him. I say to my mom “that is Deion Sander-Clause.” I was 14, almost 15, so I was young. I go to his table, while he was eating, and ask him for an autograph. He put me on blast yelling “ can’t you see I’m eating!! Leaves me alone!!” I was young, that is my excuse. I go back to my table embarrassed, and tell my mom “he said no.” After he gets done eating, while I was eating he comes to our table and asks me “do you still want that autograph?” I say “yes please!” Then he signs the game ticket-stub, and goes on his way. I said “thank you,” as he walked away. He has not changed in 32 years, and it is good to see him working with kids. He taught me to always have hope. I know he will do well. ASK YOUR DAD DO HE REMEMBER THIS.
@@berriesrus7143 Yes bro that's good but I just feel something special is going to happen practice is looking good and these young men are waiting to unleash on these haters.
if those players don't love coach sapp they don't love life. he gone be hard on you, respectful to and totally teach you what you need to know and be fun..
Oh man, we gonna eat this year. We got a team this year. We got some dogs this year. I don’t think the world is ready. Colorado’s gonna put the beat down on teams this season. The big 12 is in trouble.💯
Man, If I was these kids age again. I would have been the first DT to win the Heisman. Sapp was one of my favorite players that I watch, but John Randle was my idol. A country boy from Texas just like me, that was considered too small to play DT. My whole football career. I am 5'8 ran a 4.9 on paper. But gameday I was a 4.2. I get mad watching these kids that are 5'11 and up just doing the bare minimum. If we had pads on, I'm hitting everything. I told coach how I am going to better my QB if I just tap him. He needs to know that if he doesn't get that ball out when I'm on the field. It's ass to grass. I was not strongest, but I was a fast and could get low to that ground. I also learned O-line because I needed an edge since I knew I was not going to win the strong man contest. These kids don't love this game it just a game to them. They did not grow up playing football all day outside and then go knocking on every neighbor door asking them to turn on their porch light so we could play at night. these kids did not play football in the rain like Deion was going to somehow see us play in the hood. These kids did not play tackle football in the street. Diving for a catch in the street, diving to stop a TD in the street. We were so lit we had grown up watch us play football like we were The Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. People from other neighborhoods would come and watch us play. We even challenged other kids in different hoods. Man, I needed coach Prime to be a coach 22 years ago. I was a Starving Shark on that field and if you had that ball in your hand, it looked like a bloody baby seal to me. I hope these kids know how incredible it is to have a Hall of Famer teach you your position.
I feel you bro. My childhood was quite similar. Poor, using raggedy ass footballs and a basketball with the cover worn off. Nobody had parents rich enough to spend $6 on a new ball. Hard times, best of times
So happy to see Shane progressing under D Lew and Sapp. He's in good hands to see his dreams come to fruition. Can we camera up on the RB or LB Coach (Coach Hart)?
SAPP LOVES TO COACH. There’s a big difference between coaching and loving to coach. What I mean by that is it generates to the players, it’s a feeling that most coaches can’t do & thats have a player ready to run through a troop with no doubt.
This is what I like to see... the talk is limited , when they are talking it's all focused on the work, people are walking through ensuring they are stretching and not just flexing for the camera. The stretch work was different today because of accountability. Love to see it!!!!
Been excited to see Sapp coaching this team since coach Prime first hinted at him coming to the staff a couple of years ago! Sapp was an absolute TECHNICIAN on the field, so I know he's going to give these players the tools they need to be successful. Happy for him too. Big Sapp sounds invigorated to be coaching these young men.
To have these type of greats and experience around you is life changing Colorado wins 10 games this year just on sheer talent them being better and the rest is the fact that they have a team this year those young men are together.
@ 1:11 WOW YALL. Yo, Sapp is incredible and it show the genius behind Coach Sanders because he chose a guy that knew how to fight against everything dealt against him!!! It's so HARD to survive against things that would have destroyed the average man!!! Hats off to you Mr. Sapp and YES I will be watching your leadership out there this season BECAUSE I am the First so-called :Blackman to produce a Casino Table Game called: Casino Derby that deserves to be the greatest table game to have been developed in a long time BUT, we will see. OH YEAH, Please tell Deon Sanders Jr. to make a T-Shirt strictly for the fans that has a WE above the CU logo!!! That way the fans this season can say: WE C.U.!!!! Let's GO BUFFS!!!!
You should have FPF when the bbq restaurant owner gave Coach Sapp a gift certificate to his restaurant and invited him to visit. There was a commitment made right then.
I'm a Sapp fan. No matter when he played, or media stuff - MNF crew, NFL network, Whitlock Guest or whatever. The guy is real. He treats everyone he runs into like they matter. (1st hand knowledge) For those reasons, I'm pulling for him to show he can he a great coach too. Pulling for him...unless they play Michigan 😁
You guys from a different era it don't mean how yall make it to mean The fact it's changed is on today's wild ass society going down the tubes Quite sad!!!!!
I guarantee that if you sell out to the program and listen with INTENT to someone that has been there and has been named an ALL-PRO player you can ONLY get better. It just takes preparation, effort and a STRONG desire to be the BEST at what you do
