I've been struggling with this champ a long time so I'm gonna get coaching from you in the near future once my exams are over because I'm learning a lot from these Thoughts on Kraken>Wits End>Rageblade>Hydra/BorK>DD on Kai'Sa? I feel like it's more than an acceptable damage trade-off for how much harder to kill you become on her with it
Personally i prefer the old type of coaching where you get on a discord call with your student and you guys watch the vod together live rather than this type of coaching where you both just comment on the vod.
17:27 Kai'Sa specific thing here. With this build you buy Kraken -> Long Sword x2 for Q upgrade and then finish PD + Zerk boots for E upgrade. Instead you end up sitting on a naked crit cloak here which is basically useless on ADC (only really has value on GP)
@@abdelmurillo6761 Yea nah. Collector is dog, and I would not delay my 3 item spike 1100 gold. I would say 4/5 games you want to rush Kraken -> PD -> IE. Very rarely when back line access is not feasible you may need to go LDR 3rd. Although you can get games where alternate builds such as AP or On hit is more optimal
@@abdelmurillo6761 Dirk->collector feels great...until you don't have your E upgrade. Have been seeing Nashors pop up a bit more after the passive buffs, so maybe Kraken Dirk Nashors is fine if you're reasonably ahead, but in general Kai'Sa defaults Kraken->PD to get the Q+E evolve ASAP
@@LastLightgg There is a lot of reasons why Collector is sub optimal. Durability patch, passive buffs, rune priority switching to lethal tempo etc. All of it benefiting a more DPS focused play style rather than assassin. Really doesn't take a lot of autos for PD to outperform Collector even at 2 items. But more importantly Kraken -> PD -> IE curves infinitely better. It's a massive spike, where as you are utterly useless at 3 items with collector. Even if you take the cost difference in to account it's still so much better. Also if you bought collector, but the game needs LDR, you might as well FF
@@WoolTecMc it depends on your lane. Against agressive lane pressure early like a kalista or a lucian, or if you get first blood during invade or something and want to keep all in your lane its better to buy dirk on first back go into kraken-pd- sell dirk for IE. You do lose a little gold for selling it obviously but by then you got the power spike and dirk value already so it makes no difference. Its true not to buy collector, but dirk + kraken is upgrade.
also note for upgraded Q ..... fastest way is dirk, pickax, noon quiver.... or kraken and 2 long swords or 12 items idk :) but instead he got cloak and sword, he should have upgraded Q by now. @17:28 and probably way before that point as well if he just wanted to rush kraken.

That's pretty risky though. Losing lane as Kai'sa top is pretty much a guaranteed loss. Most people aren't cracked enough at Kai'sa to play her that consistently.
@@coolbrotherf127 idk man i've been able to scale pretty consistently when I lose lane compared to most other top champs I play... then again I am a bit of a troll so take that with a grain of salt
For these coaching vids, maybe you could just do the audio and do the writing on the side? It's very frustrating to watch the video when the flow is constantly interrupted by your writing
