Okay yan dahil capable stealth ang design like CCG and others allies . Sa Navy focused na lng sa Frigates, Corvettes, Submarines and small boats like Shaldag missle boats. Sa PCG naman focused on Offshore Patrol Boats with Oto Melara 76mm Super Rapid Main Gun and Anti, Aircraft pang tapat sa CCG. Go Philippines!
You are 100% correct.Yes 76mm caliber for 80m or bigger ships and ai least 30mm auto cannon for the smaller PCG ships. And a platoon of PCG commandos or special forces aboard the ships for added firepower.
Maybe, but its a longshot... remember that the present benefactor of the PCG is the Japanese government, and naturally it will favor the designs coming from their shipbuilders.
THAT is STPDT to spend huge amount for a very insignificant vessel of that size when the CHINESE has sheep TWICE that size. the PHILIPPINE gov't should instead acquire the about to be retired TICONDOROGA CLASS CRUISER of the United State and turn into a coast guard vessel. those cruiser are bigger than any ship within the chinese coast guard , if the Philippines acquire all 13 of it, with 3 to be decommission these year then the PHILIPPINE will have a vessel to much any large coast guard vessel of the chinese!!!!
Dumb... the Ticos are aging ships. Those ships are nearing the end of their useful lives, not to mention the US Navy is having issues with cracking in areas where the aluminum superstructure and the steel hull meet.
@@kristoffermangila come on if the Philippine made use of the hamilton, then why not the ticondoroga, only the superstructure is made of aluminum. Filipinos are not DUMB enough to sail with the superstructure on the water.
When I watch videos related to the Philippines, I notice many people in the comments who don't seem to understand the situation. The current Philippine government must be in a very difficult position. It appears that they are handling the situation by considering the possibility of escalation if the Philippine Coast Guard or Navy were to attack the Chinese Coast Guard. Do the Filipinos who simply wish for violence realize that they might face an invasion and see their families being killed? Or are they members of Duterte's family trying to overthrow the current government?
Low intensity ships and weapon system is not what we need now! we need ships for high intensity conflicts ships with anti ships and anti air capabilities, we dont have a lot of funds, so it will be wise to acquire multirole that can be for high intensity not low ones, other wise low intensity ships are useless in terms of war, which we should prepare, our upcoming OPV's must be equipped with missiles, so if war happened we are prepared, we no longer need to acquire new ones! we must me proactive not reactive in dealing with China, we should be step ahead when it comes to buying equipment.
