Agree with your philosophy about having a passion. I've fished and been involved in the outdoors since I was old enough to participate. You can incorporate other passions like photography and wildlife watching too. The beauty is you can make it as inexpensive as you like . and our enthusiasm can be contagious and the family become just as passionate as we are . Like you said doesn't matter what your passion is . I don't like golf or football , but I appreciate that if people get the pleasure from those, that I get from my interests , all the best to them .

The history information is also interesting and well presented . The under water shots are great , too. They are encouraging to see the healthy biome and ecology that is being preserved for future generations . I always get a smile to see wildlife that are thriving so well some 3000 or so miles from my area .Please keep up the great work . Stay well and away from the COVID-19.

I enjoyed your thoughts about granite remaining unchanged. I’m a studying historian and I often think the same things when I look at the stars and realize that every human before me has stared up at the same stars and moon. While it makes me feel insignificant, it also makes me feel connected to every other human who’s lived before us in the enormity of time. Ancient people walked the same roads you do now, fished the same waters, felt the same feelings. People have always just been people, but we’ve all been doing it together. I think it’s incredible :) That’s what made me pursue history.

You make me wish there was a naturalist here in Wisconsin doing videos like this. I'm also impressed by the quality of the stonework in the mine building. Keep up the good work and I do really appreciate the scientific names of things .

I loved scuba diving and snorkeling in the Pacific northwest of the US (around Seattle) as well as going on day hikes exploring the coast but now in my 50s and dealing with a number of chronic health issues that make it much more difficult to explore like that so I really appreciate the opportunity to experience this vicariously.

Wow. I could watch your vids all day long John. Not only the photography but the quality of your commentary is going ballistic. You also make a fantastic ambassador for conservation. Even a bit of lifestyle philosophy getting chucked in now, lol. I watch a ton of RU-vid content and yours has a special quality. You bring us right into your life, both fishing and family, and I suspect many like me feel a real connection to you and yours which enhances the experience. Your other talent is making even the simplest of things fascinating. Sure it's awesome watching huge crocodiles picking off gnu as they cross a river in Africa or a pride of lions taking down a zebra but you can take a few snails, some blackberries, a bit of lichen and make a video every bit as spellbinding. That's an amazing gift to be able to do.

Fascinating video with great drone footage (your quite the expert). So much to enjoy from the very start with the Cornish mines (used to love exploring them on Bodmin Moor near the Cheesewring) and the spoil tips for bits of amethyst and copper. I used to think the walking was better in the Autumn/Winter when you would hardly meet anybody. Your videos always take me back to the happy days. Then we have the underwater section, again amazing footage with all the different species of fish and the star fish. Unlike my grammar the video runs seamlessly from start to finish and as always is a pleasure to watch. Thanks for posting.
