Antti is on a solo mission aiming for the elusive seatrout of Gulf of Finland from the boat and naturally with a fly. The stock of seatrout has been increasing in many places and Gulf of Finland is a prime example of how big impact restoration work can have. Thanks to conservationists and organizations such as Virho anglers get to enjoy fishing for something more than just the imaginery seatrout of the yesteryears.
Boat fishing for seatrout is quite popular in Finland as our archipelago lends itself much better for the boat angler than it does for the angler on the bank. But still fly fishing from the boat for seatrout is still quite rare. In this episode Antti will give his tips for the boat angler as it differs a fair bit from the approach of the bank angler.

Commando heads. Lots less work, especially in the wind with a big fly that holds a lot of water. It's just like Puget Sound for sea run cutthroat and resident silvers, pinks and kings.

If would had that many rods I would definitely use switch reel from the rods so I can use the merisuola graphene as much as possible

Awesome video as always. I currently have a #6 TFO Axiom II X, but looking to upgrade/getting another rod. The Vision Meri rod looks really interesting, but I am not sure how/if it will be an actual upgrade from my current rod? Also which Vision Floating/hovering line would you recommend? Also the Meri one maybe? I fish the coast in Denmark after Sea Trout :)

Meri could be very good choice. If you use floating a lot, the original XO line is very popular among many seatrout fishermen.

Yes, sometimes. It happened to be more regular side catch earlier but it still happens every now and then.

Annti, I have been looking for this kind of content and I was delighted to find it. However, I think the title " Hard day at the Office is a bad one. Unless you look very closely it gives you no idea that you are talking about flyfishing. I suspect you would have many more views if the program title more clearly indicated what the subject matter is. In any case thanks for producing these awesome videos.
