Well the majority wanted a shooting Lara rather than adventure Lara, so we got the modern garbage

Shin Chan --Indeed! Im just now getting into finally playing this game. Now at the Coastal Thailand level and it's very beautiful. When I reached the ruins and this music started playing, I was mesmerized. Time came to a slowdown and I stopped right there for the longest;; in awe; like enveloped within another time; while looking at this most beautiful scenery and listening to this melodic vibe. Very intriguing.

Finally got to experience that for the first time! Amazing game so far, got the PS3 version. Always loved Tomb Raider growing up!

@@IamYoZen Amazing! Got hooked on Tomb Raider with Angel of Darkness 2 years later from you. Cousin had a copy, got it a few years later. Still works to this day, sadly haven't beaten it. Despite the valid criticism, it holds a special place in my heart as it was my first. You still have yours?

I get your point. I would actually also say the same about the Mediterranean See chapter. It had so many beautiful music tracks and the level itself looked and "sounded" somehow beautiful in a mysterious way. The Croft Manor level was pretty short unfortunately. I wish they would've expanded the Lara's Home areas within the gameplay. But other than that, that level was nice too and the fact that it was also a prologue in the game was cool.

It still feels to me like they either poured all their energy and enthusiasm into the Mediterranean, Thailand, and Mexico chapters or those were handled by one team of people and the other did the remainder. The Jan Mayen Island and Arctic Sea levels were kind of meh and underwhelming. A lot of dark corridors, repetitive puzzles, and the same old boring thrall enemies. I honestly never look forward to replaying those. And the Andaman Sea level is just a copy-paste of the ship from the first level. I did enjoy some parts of the Croft Manor level and I believe it was supposed to be longer (originally), but it got shortened because Crystal Dynamics would go on to reuse the deleted areas for the X360 exclusive content that has Lara explore the ruins under her father's secret room.

I've had this on PS3 for the longest time, got struck early on, and thanks to a walkthrough, I'm loving this game soooooo much even more even when I got stuck. Still have my first Tomb Raider game, Angel Of Darkness on PS2 thanks to my cousin getting me into it. Loved that one in my opinion. The music on AOD and Underworld is amazing!

Same-- Nostalgia. I would live there. I got stuck on Underworld when it came out. I didnt have time to finish til now. I came onto this level and hate seeing how much I've been missing all these years. My games missed me.....sigh.....

About four minutes too short haha.

I actually loaded the game in this spot, just letting lara stand there and falling asleep to it, no joke

Shadow of tomb Raider has few good OST, but yeah not like this masterpiece

What does square enix have to do with the music? Or with the game? Underworld was published by Eidos, not by SE

Yeah sorry eidos, since current tomb raiders are published under SE so I misspelt it , but the team was same that is crystal dynamics , and they know what kind of ambient music is perfect for their game , that was actually what I was trying to say Now you will say either crystal dynamics is not responsible for this because music is composed by composers not devs , so in advance I will yes I am aware of it, but crystal dynamics is the one approving the music that they need to use in game , composer can only compose the music
