This is my home park and very nostalgic for me. They used to have boat shows on the lake and a lot of animals. I accidentally call it Marine World (the og name) sometimes. Poor Medusas back probably hurts from absolutely carrying that park for so many years. It would be nothing without that amazing ride.

I remember talking with my cousin when he worked with the second construction company that helped build Superman. The first one gave up and just passed the buck with the blueprints over to his that he worked for. Keep up all the amazing funny content, bro!

I'm with Uncle Nate, Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland is the shittiest coaster I've ever ridden

As sombody who lives close enough to call this my "home park" I have a few things to say. 1.) The dirt is absolutely where that Harley Quinn car belongs. That ride was loud, had uncomfortable restraints, and was a rough, head banging mess that was over before it could even get started. 2.) Kong has been making that screeching noise whent the floor drops for as long as I can remember, wich is like 15+ years of going to this park. 3.) Even when V2 (the Flash) is operating that day, expect it to be down for 75% of the day. It was already an unreliable mess before they themed it to the flash, and it somehow got worse afterward.

Props to Uncle Nate for slimming down. Fr tho, that first time you're able to close a restraint by yourself, on a ride you previously needed operator assistance, is an awesome feeling. It validates the work thats been done to drop the pounds. He should be proud of himself. Side note, my friend and I were somehow able to both fit in a single row on Howler @ Holiday World. We are both full grown men, and I weighed about 275 lbs at the time. Very uncomfortable, but damn, it was funny.

Wow, it's amazing how in 2 operating years they've managed to make an enjoyable park into a mediocre chore. Reservations, rides closed/broken, open rides closing at 6, etc.

So fun story and maybe a thing for you to add on the list of things to not do at a theme park @ElToroRyan. In high school we had a field trip taking us to this Six Flags location, me being young and naive I decided to buy LSD tabs from a friend to take on the trip down so I'd be well into a trip. I knew we'd be in small groups so anxiety was pretty low, I've been there a few times before that so the park is familiar in a sense. Took a tab before getting into the rented vans to take drive us down there and when we finally got there, got out and was absolutely blasted - turns out that the tabs were some research chemical, real lesson is test your tabs lmao. Wasn't my first time on a psychedelic trip either so I kinda just "accepted it" and told my friend that this was gonna be a long day. We got our entrance tickets and entered the park, the first ride we got on was Medusa. That initial lift never felt so long💀it's one of my favorite rides at the park so it was otherwise a blast.

Lmao my only visit was in august of 2021, and every single adult roller coaster except Joker, Medusa, Batman and the boomerang was closed. Visit wasn’t bad cause joker and Medusa but I found it hilarious that you immediately said there were a bunch of closed rides

He says its further than the magic mountain walk. It can be. Last week I walked from the entrance to the park to my car, .84 miles. More than the .5. Depends on how many cars are there. It can be worse on some days. I was parked almost as far out in the dirt lot to the side of the park as you could be tho.

Honestly dude, you have the best videos when it comes to coasters. I love the Blink songs you never hear anymore and your cut-through edits make me laugh. Both these CoasterIdiots ones and the Problematic Coasters are fun to watch, and the updates you've given us for TTD are great too. Wish you had a forum or something us thoosies could go to for talking coasters, one where you're not instabanned for disagreeing with stupid Blobb Fatty. Keep up the great work! No joke, Joker broke down 13 times while I was in line for it one day.

Speaking of the theming for safari sidewinder, at the last ACE Norcal event I went to the head ride mechanic described how he got to theme the entire queue. He bought and restored a motor from like the 1920s to just have in the queue, and there were blueprints for the snake enclosures and a 3d model of the entrance sign to look at as well. The zamperla shipping container with what I imagine were ride parts were also out front. TL;DR: A surprising amount of theming responsibility is given to the ride mechanics at SFDK lol.

Ayeee thanks for visiting my home park again. Wish they didn't have such low building regulations but nonetheless still fun, especially since its a marine/zoo park as well.

Over Labor Day weekend, I also went from NJ to the Bay Area for CGA, SFDK, and Santa Cruz. I think 5 coasters were closed in total…? It was a sad time for some credits.

With CGA Closing, this park a HUGE opportunity to corner the entire Northern California Market. They really need to step it up if they want to keep people from driving south to SFMM and Knotts.

Been sad to see the decline of this park's maintenance over the years - the "sea" section is a total shell of its former self. Joker and Medusa are still great, Superman's good too. I still weirdly enjoy this park more than CGA, maybe due to nostalgia from visiting here more times when I was younger, but I wish it was better taken care of.

The park is served by an articulated bus? That sound unrealisitic. Parque Warner needs that or better yet, restore service on the ROW, there's a train station on park that's been abandoned for 10 years now (there was a very brief period where you could take regional rail from the Airport to Parque Warner, even though it was 2 transfers (either at Charmatin, Nuevos Ministrios, or Atocha and again at Pinto-where you get a bus now)

SFDK is overall a mid-tier park... But it's got a certain charm. And for me, nostalgia since it was the first real big park I ever went to back in 2008. Plus, I think their coaster lineup is pretty solid for what it is.

ooh, my homepark! yeah, it's not great and their management sucks, but it is quite pretty towards the back and it's all I have near where I live so I'll take it.
