The girl behind Taylor was the PERFECT video bomb. Taylor even kept looking back a couple of times in concern (or annoyance, lol). I'm not sure if the gal will ever ride a roller coaster again, but her facial expressions of pure terror had me laughing (I'm sure I SHOULD'NT be laughing).
The park did have a dark ride that closed about 5 years ago. It was a ghost train type ride. I remember doing it as a kid being nervous in the queue. Happy Birthday Taylor!
What they’re building next to OzIris is a starflyer called La Tour de Numérobis (Tower of Numerobis), wich is great imo since I believe the park lacks some good flats, they only have the magic carpet thingy, the Nebulaz and the polyp as proper thrill flats
Okay, so, Obelix is not really spreading his buttcheeks. In the comics he is always carrying a big menhir (big old stone) on his back and that‘s the way his hands are positioned. So in fact, when you ride him, you‘re the menhir. But yeah, it totally looks like he‘s spreading his butt.
Amazing vlog as usual ! - unused queues are for halloween mazes and shows, there are actually quite a lot of them in the very back section of the park. - the Oxygenarium ride is indeed a raft ride, actually the one you see from Oziris dive loop. However, it keeps you so dry that Matt could ride it without his coat. - the polyp flat ride is a really underrated attraction at the park, actually my second favorite flat here after the flying carpet. - the empty room with a tomb also serves as a stage for a halloween show. - happy birthday Taylor !!
For the story of why the Toutatis trims so much is that they had no choice ! The turn and stall right after the top hat are on the border of the park and they can't get out of it, and they didn't made the turn right after the top hat really tight they had to redesign all the coaster and area so everything can fit perfectly. From what I've head it could've been I305 pre retrack intensity in this turn, something the park and Intamin didn't want to happen
According to some people working at the park, the new trains on T2Z have damaged the track and still do. That would explain why the coaster has become slower and rougher. If it gets worse over time, the only solution would be a RMC Topper Track (or full retrack). PS : love your videos, from France ;)
I’ve heard they shorten the queue on purpose and lie about the wait times to discourage people from going in and pushing them towards other rides, that makes sense.
The queue area thing, there used to be a darkride there which was very cool and unique. It was called Transdémonium, in reality it didn't really fit in with the rest of the park with the Asterix franchise.
If u watch a pov for toutatis, you can see after the first pass on the swing launch the train almost makes it over the hat. I think that the reason why the top hat is so trimmed is because after the second forwards pass after the train almost cleared it the first time, the train was given enough speed to fly over the crest which is why its trimmed (similar to kingda ka). If u watch a pantheon pov u can see after the first pass the train doesnt even get like 80% up the top hat and it doesnt have a trim. I think if they made the top hat on toutatis taller the swing launch track would need to be longer for more speed which would take more space, which they didnt have. Also the train would fly through the second half with more speed even with a trim.
next time when Sarah is talking let her finish and don't always interrupt her to give your opinion. still a great video (as always) and ride that octopus if she wants to
@@nancyfarkas3592 If you think I'm rude well that's your problem, isn't it? It definitely isn't mine. Let that be clear. By the way, it's not the first time I've noticed it.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that pantheon’s dispatches are GLACIALLY SLOW. For WHAT?? It doesn’t take that long for people to put things in the bins, either, and the way they stack on the brake run EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Is BAFFLING to me. Once when I was there they were two train ops but waiting for the first train to get to the brake run before dispatching the second. 🙃🙃🙃
hey taylor, qq about t2z. ive ridden it only backwards and i wasn a big fan because it was very rattly, so im wondering if its smoother in the front. thanks in advance
How have you been to France more than once and not had a Croque Monsieur (or Madame)?? Every menu that a tourist might accidentally see only has like 6 items on it: Crepes/Galettes Steak Frites Hamburger (yes) Sandwich (of course on a baguette) Salade Croque Monsieur and/or Madame You don't even find croissants in restaurants. That's Boulangerie crap! Croque Monsieurs are often there as well. (The one Sarah had wasn't textbook and looked dry AF. There's supposed to be some bechamel in there.)
Aren't these new trimmed top hats designed to stop roll backs? They launch the train faster than needed to make sure it always gets over the top but trim it as otherwise it would go into the remaining layout too fast.
If they needed a trim to slow it down for the second half, it would have been better on a bit of flat track before the other elements. I know on planco when you make a sick layout but an element exceeds G force limits, you have to add a trim in, but I'd never put it on a top hat, just on a bit of track just before the problem area. Ideally though you just reprofile it to keep the speed and the G forces in line
10:15 the word you are looking for is an abacus, but that's not what this is. These are like the glass insulator discs you see on electrical wire towers. The whole machine looks like some kind of generator.
