Why do the arts matter after a hurricane? In an era of global climate change, the answer to this question has never been more important. "Coasts in Crisis" is a digital exhibition featuring art, music, poetry, and conversation from Greater Caribbean artists who experienced Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. The virtual launch event at noon on November 12, 2021 will transform the artists' gathering, held at the University of Virginia on September 19, 2019, into a freely accessible curated digital art project with a global impact.
