I have fallen in love with your channel! Your tools are dangerous and remind me of the shops that I grew up and around in. Always respect the blades and know how they're going to behave, and so much can be done with so little. Your woodworking is absolutely art, and it is a joy to watch you create. Thank you for making these videos, they are a testament to what it means to love the craft and make wonderful pieces out of wood that most people would consider firewood. Ta-da! indeed. :) I love that you put the butterfly back at the beginning. I do that same sort of thing.
Hey Rooster, you have a sly name. It's rare to find comments as comprehensive as yours. Very nice. Yes, earning a living with woodworking is dangerous, but getting food is always dangerous. Both in humans and in the animal kingdom. And not only the danger of injury, but even the danger of losing one's life. So I completely agree with you, in life and in carpentry, more important than all these technical safety tools is respect for what you are doing and constant attention. These qualities are also constantly needed in life. Ta-daa!

First off I want to say from one wood worker to another much respect I love your style and passion for what you do. If I may I have a couple questions. First off what is the purpose of the stain you use on the joints and ends just to sand it back off. My second question involves a tool you didn't use in this video. The machine you cut your tenon's on is that a modified router of sorts. I used my table saw for sometime before I got the lumberjack tenon cutters I use now. They look like very large pencil sharpeners that fit in a half inch drill. Thanks for taking us along on your journey and showing us the fine work you do.
Hi wood worker John from West Virginia. Thank you for your kind words. I really like this woodwork. If it still allowed for a decent living, it would be especially great. Yeah ... So. This stain I use has two purposes. By using it between two sandings to bring loose wood fibers up and then sanding, it is easy to see where it has already been sanded and where it has not. Before the last sanding, I cover with a stain again, but then I don't sand everything down to leave a darker shade like the part of the wood that is naturally aged and lightly sanded. This tenon-making machine I didn't use in this video was originally a test, I was thinking I would do better later. Well, you see... Yes, there are many ways to make a tenon, why not a saw. I know the pencil sharpener like, but I haven't bought one because I already have a machine for the job. And with a pencil sharpener, it's hard to get the tenons in one line when you need to make both ends. Of course you can, but my method is easier and more accurate to get in line. Greetings.
Отличная работа! Но, мне лично больше нравится стиль rustic со следами ручной обработки, без шлифовки. Я сделал в подобном стиле на маленькой кухне, на всю стену стеллаж с полками. Всё делал в квартире, ошкурил, отпилил, построгал рубанком, просверлил. Без пыли и шума. Сейчас хочу сделать кресло с высокой спинкой. Древесину собираю по берегу моря. В лесу разной причудливой формы не найдёшь. Берёзы полно упавшей но она вся трухлявая. Ольхи упавшей или засохшей, вообще не встречал в лесу
Привет. Было бы интересно посмотреть, есть ли фото этой работы в Интернете. Я тоже больше люблю мебель ручной работы. Но вот цена. Если вы делаете это для себя или просто как хобби, то вы можете сделать это полностью вручную, но я зарабатываю этим на жизнь, и рукоделие поднимает цену высоко. Well, I age the wood, so it looks like old wood, but the white tone of the wood comes out during the processing, I tint it with a brown substance that is an aqueous solution, the composition is a recipe I found myself to match the natural old tone of the wood. The recipe is my secret that I don't want to reveal. I also apply this mixture to the glued areas if I use pva type glue. In this way, I clean the glue from the joint and also tone it. If I glue with polyurethane glue, then after the glue dries, I apply the same recipe only as an oil solution.

Привет. Я использую только сухой материал, но с учетом того, что материал стержня для дюбеля будет более сухим, чем материал отверстия для дюбеля. Мебель можно делать и из сырого дерева, но следует учитывать разницу влажности дюбеля и отверстия под дюбель. Можно сделать из свежей древесины, но при высыхании она может покоробиться и расколоться, поэтому лучше делать из сухого материала.
Thank you Magnus. Furniture made of wood gets dark outside anyway, so I age the wood before making it into furniture. Which means that I keep the wooden material outside in the sun and rain for a year so that it gets dark. Then about a month of drying and you can do it. In practice, however, I prepared a larger amount of material about ten years ago, and now I make furniture from this wood. I think this wood will last me a lifetime.

Oh nice! I use "Teak Oil" from the hose. It's like an impregnating oil, very liquid, and I fill all the smallest cracks by using this method from the hose. I use "Danish Oil" as a coating oil, it is much thicker and cannot be applied from a hose, so I cover it with a cloth.
Красный цвет ольхе придает сок, если обработать красную часть, покрытую соком, древесина еще светлая. Кроме того, я выдерживаю древесину на открытом воздухе не менее года, поверхность под корой, которая вначале красная, становится такой черной. Подготовка материала видео скорее всего не состоится. У меня есть запас материала на всю оставшуюся жизнь, большего и не нужно.
@@udoaas2466 Здравствуйте мастер!!! А чем обрабатываете чтоб не краснела??И торцы обрабатываете коричневым ,потом ветошью протираете(Для чего?И чем?) Хороших вам работ и долгой жизни(чтоб вам пришлось опять заготавливать материал)
@@vitekkoroto3462 Привет. Я не обрабатываю материал, чтобы не покраснел. Но при старении дерева на открытом воздухе этот красный цвет становится почти черным, я его немного ошкуриваю и получается правильный оттенок. В процессе работы тонирую не только торцы древесину, но и все обрабатываемые поверхности, поэтому цветовой тон получается такой же, как на слегка отшлифованной поверхности. Чем морил, к сожалению, не могу сказать, это моя фирменная тайна, но вытираю тряпкой, чтобы морилa лучше держалось. Я также использую ту же морилку, чтобы увлажнить древесину между двумя шлифовками, чтобы свободные волокна древесины поднялись. Если посмотреть на текущую экономическую ситуацию в мире, очень маловероятно, что люди когда-либо смогут покупать такой ручной труд, как я. Но кто знает.
Ну, я состариваю древесину, поэтому она выглядит как старая древесина, но белый тон древесины проявляется в процессе обработки, я подкрашиваю ее коричневой субстанцией, которая представляет собой водный раствор, состав - это рецепт, который я нашел, чтобы соответствовать натуральный старый тон дерева. Hello. I use "Teak Oil" for impregnation and "Danish Oil" for coating. There are definitely better oils out there. But this combination is the best value for money in my opinion. It is also possible to cover with "Teak Oil" by pouring over, as I do.
