Thanks for this video, i have a Cobb as well and was thinking how i can get to see what gear am i but i see you need the DSG tune. So i am going for that next. But the Cobb is a day and night for me . I have downpipe and intake and intercooler so my next is my DSG tune
It will feel more "CONNECTED" because the DSG tune is applying more pressure. The shifting points are a bonus and are a result of the TCU recognizing less friction. The transmission is NOT downshifting for you because that is what you SELECTED in the tune when you purchased it. I prefer leaving the shifts as stock, because it is an automatic and who wants to focus that hard anyway - leave that for the M/T drivers :-) Get off the OTS tunes and get a custom, the acceleration will be incredibly smoother.
So, if I get an Accessport with DSG flashing included, is there anything I have to do to get access to the DSG side? I don't seem to have the option to tune the DSG on my AP.
@@DarinDziergas Thanks. I got in touch with Cobb and they said it actually didn't have DSG. Apparently ECS Tuning sent me the wrong product. I got it all sorted out today and got my upgrade key.
Got to play around with the DSG tune last night, and it made a huge difference in the way the car responds off-thel-line as well as while moving. Totally worth it. The reactions you see in this video were not overdone - I felt the same way when I tried it. I only went with the OEM+ map, too.
@@ARentz07 just to make things clear, if you get the accessport with the dsg flash package for $1,035 does it still come with the ots ecu maps ? Or am i wrong
i’m going to order the Cobb Stage 1+ power package soon (intake and AP with dsg tune). Do I need to flash both the ECU and DSG Tune? or just the DSG Tune? also if you do indeed flash the ECU tune, what ECU map were u running in this video? thank you for the video btw. helped a lot :).
I'm certain that you've learned that at about 3800rpm to the TOP is your strongest "meat n potatoes". You will keep everything at it's optimum when wanting the power delivery. Just don't DOG IT when in low RPMs (below 3K) to avoid applying too much load. Other than that, change that oil like a Preacher and double the frequency change of the Trans & Diff fluid + Sparkies (about every 10-15K). Enjoy!!!! and don't spend all that VA disability on a car mate :-)
What nobody tells you is that you lose the DSG farts after this. Far less loud. Im happy with the performace of the tune but im upset that I done easily get loud farts anymore, you just get a blip. I fully understand why ofcourse. And yes I have a downpipe.
