Great job describing this and the installation process. Thank you!! I didn't even realize I could clean up the "slop" with such a cheap and easy install.
If you haven't driven a tight gear box you wouldn't understand. Or just cruising around and driving regularly it wouldn't be noticed as much as ripping
I don't have an issue getting into first gear while stopped or at very slow speed. It doesn't seem to improve the anomaly of hard getting into first gear at higher speed. This for me seem to almost be a safety feature (to keep from overrevving). It maybe reduces the crunchy/gravel feel going into second slightly but I also added a much heavier knob which I think also helped reduced this (more momentum). The lateral (left-right) tightness definitely improved substantially. Still...it's no Civic Type R shifter...
@@theredsalmon612 i hear that the shift bushing improves that crunchy feeling the most. i will be installing that soon. how did it go with the shift stop? - i am doing that now
