The most anticipated tune for the new Ecoboost Engine for the 2017-2018 Gen 2 Ford F150 Raptor!
We are pleased to announce that Offroad Alliance is an official COBB Dealer.
I had so much fun working on this video and enjoyed greatly exploring the new COBB tune for the Gen2 Raptor. This video shows the Stage 1 and Stage 1+ kit. We will be doing other videos when the Stage 2 and Stage 3 kits along with their perspective tunes come out.
Q&A's:
Q: Do I have to keep my Accessport Plugged in after the install?
A: No, you do not, however, you could leave it in there to monitor certain parameters. You can set up to 6 gages on the small LED screen.
Q: Could I take it off if I need to?
A: Yes, you can uninstall it very easily. You have a feature (Highly recommended) to backup your stock ECU file to the Accessport and to your laptop via Accessport Manager.
Q: If I already have an CAI, do I need to buy the COBB one to run their tune?
A: No, you do not. COBB informed us that you can run any CAI as long as it has better airflow than OEM. However, since they did all their testing and DYNO with their own product, don't expect to have the exact same results. Results may vary per application and product.
Q: If I would like to get a custom tune because my build is specific, will COBB support that?
A: Yes absolutely! COBB has quite a few authorized tuners across the country that can custom tune the AP to your needs and build specific application.

Pro tip
Hook up your Accessport to your laptop, download the Accessport Manager and make sure you check for firmware updates BEFORE you install it on your Raptor (or any other application). They do quite a bit of updates all the time as a response to customer concerns and discovered “issues” along the way.

If you download the 93 octane tune, and then go on vacation and need gas and the station you go to only has 87 or 91 octane gas, can you fill up with those lesser octanes without doing any harm to the vehicle?

Did you have any other mods before adding this access port ?

Well I was torn between Gearhead and COBB, and I still am. I like the COBB access port, but I like the idea of a flex tune with trans tuning. I ‘m just not a fan of N gauge or SCT tuner platform. What to do?

blueline_raptor JD I love the COBB AP as well. The SCT BDX tuner is amazing and has more features than any tuner out there. If you are looking for a tuning device, at this time, the only one that I would recommend to you is the SacT one, but I think once you test the ORA 550, which differs greatly from the GH base tune, you won’t look back. I have over a 100 customers who would say the same to you. Send me an email and I will take care of you. Kino@offroadalliance.com Also, watch my other video on Tuning 101.
