Thank you finally a person doing a review that has a lower club speed that makes it easier to relate to thank you

Thank you for watching and for your comment! I always love hearing that the video was relatable - exactly why I started the channel! All the best! 👍🏼

I bought titleist t350 forged irons last year RRP 1100 but after trying these twice I bought the dark speed and ended up adding 10yds to every club. Good fair review 👏👏

Wow Spodbw1! Thats incredible! Are you seeing similar results as me with the ball flights too? I am super impressed by them! 👍🏼

A little, but the titleists got them high anyway. With the greens being a bit damp 🙈the ball stops dead interesting to see when they harden up a bit xxxx

I just traded in my t350 lefty. Leaning on zx4 or these cobras. Use hybrid to the 7 iron. N use 8,9,w irons. Need help with height

Thanks for another intriguing video. I think these Cobra Darkspeed are overall good game improvement irons. The occasional low spin flyer might be the main problem with them. It's good to see the positive progress you are making with your swing, club speed and consistency. Would love to see you start testing irons that are closer to a players iron. I think you're ready to move in that direction.

Hi Gary! Thanks for watching! Yeah I totally agree with your assessment on that low spin flyer! It’s the only question mark I have against them! Some more players distance irons coming soon including the new Ping i530’s! 👍🏼

I look forward to your assessment of those Ping i530's. Ping irons have always intrigued me but I've never owned a set. I've been continuing to try different irons but still haven't found anything to replace my Callaway Apex CF16s. I have an iron fitting at my local Modern Golf on Wednesday so we'll see what they come up with.

Hey Luke, I just wanted to give you an update from my iron fitting yesterday. I tried several different irons that were either players distance or between players and players distance. At the end of the process I couldn't believe the fitter found me something to displace my Apex CF 16s that have been in the bag for the past 7/8 years. I ended up with Ping i230s with the Ping AWT shaft in stiff flex. The front to back dispersion was really really good and they were surprisingly forgiving. Not sure if you've had the chance to test the i230s but if you haven't, I'd encourage you to give them a go. The other clubs that were good but just not as good as my current gamers were the Titleist T150, Mizuno JPX 923 forged and the Mizuno Pro 245. I especially loved the feel of the 245s but front to back dispersion was iffy. Occassional flyers that went about 10 yards too far. BTW, my clubhead speed, with 7 iron, averaged between 81-82 MPH during the fitting.

@garymacdonald2596 Hi Gary! Wow that sounds like an all round brilliant experience that you’ve had there! Really not surprised to hear that the Ping’s were super forgiving! I’ve got the i530s to test next but will look to see if the i230’s are in leftie and try to film them too. You’ll often hear me say how every ping I test delivers great numbers time after time (sneak peak into tonight’s video there too!). Hopefully you fall in love with these like you did the Apex CF’s too for the next 7-8 years! Thanks for letting me know how it went! I love hearing other peoples fitting stories - especially when they are this positive! 👍🏼

The videos I have watched from you make getting a new set of irons more difficult. They all performed as they should . The Wilson video was good and I thought could be for me, now the Cobra video.

Haha sorry John! I think the truth is there aren’t many bad sets of golf clubs these days but a lot like cars it’s just finding the right one for you at the right price point… which ultimately is why I’ll always recommend a fitting as my videos can only be relatable up to a point as everyone has a unique swing! Fingers crossed you find some clarity soon! 🤞🏻

Thanks for the great video. I’m trying to decide between the Cobra DarkSpeed and the TaylorMade Stealth HD irons in a quest to make a the game as easy as possible. Any thoughts on which may be the better game improvement club based on your time with each? Thanks again!
@weekendtourpros
@weekendtourpros 6 месяцев назад
Hi Timothy! Thanks for watching and for your question. From memory I’d say the Stealth HD are the more forgiving club. I’d put the the Stealth HD in the super game improvement category and suggest they are more comparable to clubs like Titleist T400, Ping G730, Callaway Big Bertha and Cleveland Launcher Halo XL, which are all super easy to hit too. Whereas I’d suggest the Cobra are the next category down and more comparable to the regular TM Stealth irons. Still highly forgiving but a tiny bit more balanced towards prioritising distance as well as forgiveness. So if making golf as easy as possible is your goal then I’d lean towards the Stealth HD’s. I hope that helps! 👍🏼

What was the feel, sound, etc., Luke? The height and distance are great! Cobra make so many innovative products. Thanks

Hi Richard! Its been a while since I filmed the review so I can’t remember specifics except to say that I don’t remember their being any negatives that stood out and I do like Cobra clubs from owning a set about 6 years ago! So I do have a soft spot for them! 👍🏼

Well, if they're not the perfect game improvement irons, they must be close. They come at a more reachable price as well. Good numbers, I wonder what you'd get with your gamer ball. The ProV1 doesn't play well for everybody. I'm kind of shocked that the strong lofts produce that height and descent angle, these are definitely well designed. Great production as usual Luke. Thanks and enjoy your weekend.

Hi Petro! Fair question regarding the ball! I think it’s fair to say we’d see some differences but hopefully nothing too drastic! Thanks for your continued support! 👍🏼

What flex do you use on the lower irons?
@weekendtourpros
@weekendtourpros 11 дней назад
Hi Frank! I play a regular flex in my irons but a stiff flex in my hybrids, fairway woods and driver. My swing speed seems to be close to the typical crossover points and whenever I have fittings I find that those two options work best for me! Not sure if that answers your question? Let me know if not! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼

Are these an upgrade to ltdx irons?
@weekendtourpros
@weekendtourpros 16 дней назад
Hi Connor! I think they are a newer iron in the Cobra Game Improvement range (Aerojet was last years model and I think the iron inbetween LTDx and these). I never got to hit the LTDx so hard for me to comment on how different these are but over a couple of years irons are usually more evolution over revolution! Always worth testing or getting a fit though if you want to see how they compare! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
