Hello, my English isn't perfect so I didn't understand everything. Can you cut to 30mm with the mower or doesn't that work so well? I currently cut my grass to 25 mm and in the summer to 30 mm or better to 35 mm.
The scarifier should make light contact with the soil to effectively remove thatch and moss. It shouldn't dig too deep but should go through the grass easily. Adjust the height settings to find the right balance. Thanks Mark
Yes the mic I have clipped to my shirt does make it sound a little loud. Cylinder mower are do make more noise than a rotary blade due to the scissor like action of the cut.
A verticut cartridge uses vertical blades to cut into the soil and thin out the grass, promoting healthier growth by reducing thatch and improving aeration. A scarifier tines cartridge, on the other hand, uses tines or prongs to rake through the lawn, removing moss and debris while also aerating the soil. Both tools enhance lawn health but operate differently: verticutting slices into the soil, while scarifying rakes the surface.
@@EasyLawnMowing Okay thank you for your explanation. I would buy first on of these two catridge. So I think the scarifier is more gentle for the grass. How is the scarifier to set up from the hight. and is it possible to seed afterwards and make a small topdressing would this works ?
Hi, the the height is adjusted the same as the mowing cylinder cartridge. Yes, this is exactly what I did on the patches on my lawn. I overseeded and then put a topdressing of Jack's Magic compost over. You can get it in The Range 3 for £12. Thanks. Mark
@@EasyLawnMowing Okay, mean first, you go over your lawn with the Scarifier cartridge (not the verticut) and afeter that you overseed and bring on the top the magic compost ?
@@PandaBeatzzAIyes. This is what I have just done 4 days ago and the new grass is just coming through. I’m no lawn expert but this has always worked for me.
