Daniel applies the quicksilver method against Terry, and finished with the crane kick, the same kick Terry made fun of is just poetic justice. Fantastic season!
Not only did he use the quicksilver method for each step he used the influence of his of the big influences effecting him currently. For step one he used a chozen like technique, for step two he used he used Johnny’s screaming eagle, and for the final step he used the crane. It truely was Danny’s moment of balance.
I do not care what anyone says: all of the heightened violence, drama, and global stakes of this season are very well earned. A show that started out as a quasi-high school story now having adult fights to the death is absolutely insane - but in the BEST way possible
not to forget some of those Senseis are a similar age to him, meaning they trained with extremely skilled masters for 40+ years only to loose to a guy who trained for a few years then spent 20 years drinking himself to sleep 😂
Can’t believe that all the main bullies from the original three movies teamed up to take down Terry Silver! Cobra Kai pulls all the stops in their season finales! And this is no exception!
It just shows that all of the bullies were actually good people who were just caught up in bad situations, whereas Terry Silver is truly a bad guy with no redeemable qualities about him.
Yah, no idea how he beat Hawk in that second fight scene with him. Even cheating I don't think Kenny has it in him to land a punch on him and you saw that at the public pool where Hawk just plays with Kenny...
@@TalkingHands308 hawk was told by robby to take it easy since he knew what it was like to be in cobra Kai and felt bad for Kenny plus they was cheating lmaooo but yea I didn’t like that part either.
Cobra Kai is that one show that had literally 0 reasons to exist, but somehow exists, and not only everyone loves it,, but its a show that deserves all the love it has. It hasnt failed us a single time yet, awesome job from the writers
It's such a batshit crazy concept. It shouldn't exist, and it shouldn't be this good. But it does. Somehow we live in the timeline where an obscure kids movie about Karate that had a TV show foreshadowed all the way back in How I met Your Mother, actually came to life and was completely perfect the entire time. With everything going wrong in the world, it's nice that we at least have this.
Not really, there was an episode from How I met your mother that was kinda the reason for this. Ralph and William were there and Barney's idea of Johnny Lawrence being the real karete kid.
Hands down best season. I thought Johnny was legit gonna die. Chozen did his thing. Daniel got his get back. And kreese did it his way. Season 6 wild tournament arc gonna be fire
It scares me that season six isn’t renewed yet but it performs extremely well so If the umbrella academy got renewed then Cobra Kai should get its final season
Really? I honestly thought this was a pretty weak season. It had some great moments but most of it felt like useless stuff and filler. I rated most the episodes like a 6/10
@@grabe1556 really?! Coukd be just me but I enjoyed it way more than last season. Last season felt like a slow build to this one. Season 5 and 3 are probably my favourite. Then 2 4 1
The hand movements stingray did after beating the kids outside the dojo. Mr Miyagi did that after he saved Daniel after the Halloween dance in karate kid 1. And Daniel did that after he saved Robby at the beach in season 2. I’m so happy I noticed this and Andrew didn’t say anything. Love you Andrew. But yes! Lmao
I'm so happy Johnny smashing the TVs was brought up! It was a nice non spoken long running inside joke for the show. Very funny and satisfying seeing it finally in this episode this season. I'm glad someone else appreciates the humor.
As far as where they could go in season 6, obviously we have the Sekai Takai to look forward to. We have to learn what the new dojo name is going to be. As far as we know, Cobra Kai still has their invitation to the tournament. There is no way that Terry Silver is going to stay in prison. Kreese is out there. I would love for Kumiko to come and be by Chozen's side as he recovers.
And we didn't see sensei Kim after the last fight. Curious to see if her and Kreese team up or Kreese will find Johnny. He's now a fugitive for beating up the guards and escaping but also homeless. The writers are doing such a great job, can't wait for season 6.
@@marydarling2825 Yes, they should have finished that fight with Sensei Kim. She definitely needs to play a part in next season. Remember, in that flashback she and Kreese shared a little moment. He may not even know she's stateside.
Such a badass finale!!!! Unbelievable!!! I hope there are 5 more seasons. If there is I will be there to watch every episode. The writers continue to produce great story lines and character development. They even got me caring about John Kreese! 😆 Bravo!! 👏👏👏👏
The finale blew my mind ! It's really rare to have such consistency of quality in the writing for over 5 seasons and going ! Now I want a spinoff with the 3 bad boys of Karate, Mike, Johnny and Chozen. Have Chozen bring them to Okinawa for the preparation of the Seikai Taikai, and have THEM be the fishes out of water for a change, embarrassing him at every corner each time he tries to introduce his native customs and traditions, with Johnny being Johnny, and Mike being the surprising middle moderator, who can sometimes be the Hulk of the team when drunk.
One of the best single seasons of any TV show....and best finales of any TV show I have ever seen! This was so nostalgic and incredible! Can't believe I watched it when I went to bed and finished at 6 in the morning. Man, I was so tired that day!
Another reference is when the students threw the t shirts at Terry after realizing Terry was a cheat. After Barnes lost in part 3. All future Cobra Kai students threw the shirts at Silver and Kreese as soon as Daniel won.
I love how Daniel used the quick silver method to defeat Silver. Shows how he learns and applies everything he knows just not what he learned with Myagi. Season 6 hasn’t been confirmed yet as far as I know, and I hope it happens and soon. Lord I can’t wait another 2 years for season 6. Hahah😅 I laughed so hard when the one generic Sensei guy cut the finger off the other generic Sensei guy. I still think Stingray is annoying but I’m glad he got to do something. I’m very pleased overall with the season and I’m so glad the beef between Sam and Tori, Daniel and Johnny, and Miquel and Robby is over. I’m hoping they’ll be friends.
Such a Legendary Season and another Cliffhanger Ending, Seeing All The Karate Kid Villains Teaming Up With Daniel Against Terry Silver was just phenomenal, and also of course finally Miguel, Robby, Sam and Tory finally becoming friends. Overall A Great Season!
Don't forget we've still got the n.1 karate competition to come. As much as I love the kidiness about the show, this finale was sensational, felt like proper TV
Great season. In case anyone is wondering, the reason Mike Barnes(Sean Kanan) was in only 2 episodes and was knocked out for most of this episode is because the actor is currently starring on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. But it was still great to have him back and hopefully he'll return next season.
Apparently, he was also recovering from a bad injury on the shoulder, so he couldn't do much fights. That's a shame. We know he's a big fan of the show and I'm pretty sure both him and the authors wanted to feature him more prominently. But we can all agree to say that each time he was on screen, he just killed it ! He stole every scene he was in.
That is the one criticism I have with the finale that Barnes was left out for most of the fight. I thought the idea was to see all 3 of them fight together through to the end. Just didn't make much sense to me.
Remember at the beginning of the season Miguel spoke to a guy he mistook for his father and gave him his background info, including who his mother is? I thought the season would end with Miguel’s dad having bumped into other Hector and he would show up at Carmen’s and Miguel’s doorstep
As much as I want Chozen to teach Tory Miyagi Do, I feel Sam should have that role in season 6, they can get along pretty fluently now, as the water flows under the bridge, I can't wait.
I love the finale for this season and I really do hope the next season is the end of the series, as much as I love this series I just want it to have a good ending and not become repetitive.
This season was nuts! They ramp it up more and more. I really enjoyed watching Chozen .....spinoff? 🤔 Terry is a psycho and I'm glad he got locked up. Also. The one thing that kinda bothers me is most of these people have turned into criminals. Attempted murder. Child abuse. That lady sensei they brought in she's another psycho.🤣🤣🤣
This show is just awesome. I found myself thinking before this season that it's been great to this point, but is it going to get to the point where it's too much and they need to stop because there's not much more that you can do. Then I watched season 5. And I want more. This show just knows what it is and runs hard with it.
They really ruined Mitch's character by having him secretly rejoining Cobra Kai & being Silver's undercover student! That's really messed up especially after reuniting with Johnny, Chris, Hawk at the end of Season 3 just to have him become enemies with them again along with the rest of the Miyagi-Fang's and damaging his social life with them. The point of his character arc in S3 was to rekindle his friendship with Chris, not for it end like that in two seasons later. Mitch could've just asked them earlier to stopping calling him P*nis Breath or any other insulting nicknames including A**face like a mature person instead of ditching & backstabbing their trust, turning against them, and returning to his original dojo.
Yeah, and the worst part is that the first thing their new teammates do after he switches sides is call him P*nis Breath, so in the end, he achieved nothing with his betrayal, other than lose friends
Just lost my dog of 6 years to an infection in her lungs. Don’t be afraid to get your pet checked for what seems like a cold, it could be something far worse. Thanks for the distraction Rejects. I definitely need it. This finale slaps.
@@ReelRejects Thank you, she was more of a family member than some of my actual family. The bond between a human and a dog can be so strong. Thanks again.
Johnny's fight is my favorite scene & fight of the show! And the motivation! So perfect & BADASS! 😍❤🔥🙌🏻🦅👶🏽 and the ring on Carmen's finger at the end! ❤💍
The ending was so funny with LaRusso and Silver but whatever I just went with it since it's nostalgia of combining elements from the first film with the final battle with Johnny Lawrence and the third battle between Miyagi-Silver in Karate Kid III as you said. For me the highlights are Tory's arc, Chozen and Lawrence as their arcs were done well again for this season of Cobra Kai. For John Kreese his arc just got again interesting and now he is going to reunite with Kim Da-Eun as Kim took a liking to Kreese as hinted in the flashback training between young Kreese and Silver.
I’m 22 years old but growing up I watched the karate kid movies because my dad and I loved every moment of the movies. I love this series so much and the only thing I have against is that Mr. Miyagi isn’t in it. I know the actor passed but breaks my heart because he would love to see Johnny and Daniel working together and Chozen as well..
I agree with what you said about the way it wrapped up. If it wasn't for the plot thread about the world championship, it'd definitely feel like a grand finale.
Daniel got to use the legendary crane kick!! Stingray siding with the Miyagi-Fang's was awesome!! I'm glad Devon defected Cobra Kai during the dojo fight and went back to Eagle Fang's side to help Sam & Tory! I always prefer her to the good side, Miyagi-Fang!! Anthony stepped up a lot this season with him being able to broadcast the video on the TV!! That's was fast for Miguel and Sam to continue their fixed relationship and same for Robby and Tory!! Johnny getting motivation to take down the sensei's was similar to when Miguel got motivation to continue take down Kyler during the S3 finale as both them were nearly beaten to death/injury and got the confidence to take down their opponents! Overall, this was an awesome and huge season!! I’m glad that I got to see your reactions to see Cobra Kai Season 5!!
Everyone who had a arc this season was jus so well written and I’m looking forward to next season in the future when Jon hurtwitz is done filming his current film and he begins writing and jus after watching all the seasons you can tell he wants to reinvent the karate kid franchise is the best way possible and this is the best pay off to that
This season was decent, I loved how much darker it is, it’s just there’s a lot of repeated things we’ve already seen in past seasons. My biggest disappointment is Mike Barnes, I wish he was in it alot more!
Two references I haven't heard mentioned. Kreese interaction with therapist and the way they shot him walking free at the end with music definitely had "The Joker" movie vibes. Also when Robby references that he has fractured an occasional law in his past seems to be a direct line from the Axel Foley character from Beverley Hills Cop. Axel also a pioneer of going through the window in BHC 1. Great series...great call backs...great actors....just awesome all the way around!
Another perfect season of Cobra Kai. Midway through watching this recap, I had the realization that I’m pretty sure this is my favorite TV show now. Like I don’t rewatch much, but I’m ready to do my third complete rewatch on this series.
My apologies: I forgot to say the cobra Kai students throwing their Cobra Kai shirts at Terry Silver was a reference to Karate Kid III (1989) when after Daniel defeats Mike Barnes in sudden death at the 1985 All Valley Tournament, the crowd starts throwing back the Cobra Kai shirts at Terry and Kreese. Also when the Cobra Kai students stop listening to Terry is a reference to The Next Karate Kid (1994) when after Julie defeats Ned (Michael Cavalieri) in combat during the ending Colonel Dugan (Michael Ironside) tells Ned and the Alpha Elite to fight Julie to which they do not listen as well.
I love how they're shown watching the video stone faced, then look at someone behind the camera and THEN give an over the top reaction to the scene. So realistic.
Sensei Kim And Kreese have a moment in the training flashback when he winks at her. And she directly asks about him when she first gets off the plane. Let’s see where that goes...
I love watching Daniel beat this guy’s ass after he was so afraid of him as a teenager It’s almost more satisfying than watching Johnny beat the hell out of crease
😂😂😂 why is it that everytime there is a fight with Mike Barnes, Danny ends up getting hurt by his allies who are trying to save him 😂😂😂. Chozen punched him in the face at the store and this time Johnny hit him in the face with the can
Lmao, I love the fact that Terry pretended to give a shit about trespassing and yet he also burned a store down not too long before this episode like bruh..
You forgot that Kreese faking his death is an Easter egg. Silver told Daniel and Mr. Miyagi Kreese was dead in Karate Kid Part 3 when he wasn’t and in Season 1, Johnny said Kreese was dead and in the Finale he came back
