not my favourite character but he definitely made big changes. Not to the people who see him but himself, He's shown alot of care for his students and making sure they don't do the same mistakes as he's done
I think that’s one of my qualms of this show. It’s ok to have a jerk character but there should be consequences to stuff like that imo… Like maybe he loses a fight cos of an asthma attack or something.
@@Aisha_Luv I used to have asthma so in the episode after this happened I was worried for his LIFE when he was thrown in the pool but after that I forgot about it too because it actually can go away. Also yk Johnny faces so many consequences the way Miguel and Robby get injured
"I'm pretty sure the rights to that would cost to much" "No I own the cassette it's in my car" The fact that he knows nothing about the internet and still lives in an 80s mindset is what makes his character so great
@@tru3boc I don't think hawk was a special needs kid. Dude was kicked all his life that he lacked confidence and rarely spoke up or said what he felt. Like it's easy to kick someone down when they are already down. Hawk is smart, avoided conflict because it all reverted into one thing which was his lip. So like Kyler pointed out, his hair distracts you from the lip. His confidence masked his insecurity of the lip. So his whole personal made him from a quiet kid whom all you see is a weird lip to the whole person you see. Like he is not just lip in his transformation, he is lip hair, tattoo, confidence and aggression. When he lost his hair he went back to being quiet again so he was the kid with the lip again until moon gave him his confidence back. Like really think back when you first saw him. You did see his lip because it was pointed out and he tried everything to hide it. Later when he became hawk, that was the last time you ever saw it or noticed it.
@@arvidassburg4500 quite offensive joke warning kid walks into eagle fang bald and johnny's like "what up skinhead" and the kids like "im not a skinhead, i have cancer." johnny's just like "cancer don't exist in this dojo" and the kid just suddenly grows hair and is like "im cured doc"
I like how the manager said "Nobody is perfect". And yet when Johnny starts being honest about his criminal history, the manager decides to kick him out and not hire him. Lol
Jonny not understanding the internet is one of the funniest gags ever. I did feel pretty stressed tho when he couldn't figure out that he needed to plug in the laptop
When the show first started it was initially intended to be a comedy series, hence why season 1 was a bit more comedic than subsequent seasons. As the show and story progressed however, it evolved into more of a drama series. Such a great show though!
*Johnny destroys vaccine kit* We do not allow weakness in this dojo, so you can leave your covid and all that made up bullshit outside. Is that understood?
4:12 I remember watching this and it being the FUNNIEST thing EVER I swear it was so unexpected, I knew something was wrong but it was WAAAYY too good!
Honestly when Sendai got rid of Miguel’s inhaler it probably helped Miguel’s family cause there poor and inhalers cost a lot of money but now they don’t buy it because sensei stopped Miguel’s from thinking he had asthma
"Aww I think your cat wants to come in" "Here... Kitty Kitty..." Miguel: I didn't know you had a cat.. Sam: We don't. Miguel: ; - ; (dude (Bert - I think his name is) gets thrown through the window)
