Xolo, Jacob, and Gianni have really fun chemistry. Hopefully we see more of them together in S5. The show did start with them as a trio after all! What innocent times 😆
Big thanks to the producers and cast and everyone else who not only bring back happy times, but also developed a new generation of great new bad a$$ characters!
Season 4 only has 10 episodes but it also answers what happened to stingray and aisha.. Love the last episode! As usual, seeing characters change opinions and sides again is truly another game changer!! Awesome!
Amazing talented kiddos they couldn't have picked a better cast growing up as a Karate Kid fan I do believe these kids show passion for Karate. Its a work of art my praise goes out to the writers and creators of Cobra Kai thank you so much for bringing back so many memories.
If Mr. Miyagi was still alive... i doubt there would even be a show. Think about it. Johnny brings back CK. Daniel FREAKS OUT. If Mr. Miyagi was alive. Hed be drinking a glass of wine with Amanda chill AF saying "Who cares?" Which would chill Daniel down and hed go back to strictly selling cars. The end!
Even having never seen her in other shows I have to give Peyton a lot of credit. She's able to create a character that you "love to hate" but give it more meaning that just the bitchy mean girl. You can see the vulnerability and pain at the core of the character that drives her. And that's really at the core of acting - finding the parts of the character that aren't always shown, but are the fundamental motivations for what you see. She's great.
Yes, Cubra Kai, I love this movie 🍿🎥, n the martial arts moves to, I myself do martial arts too, here in Kingston Jamaica, I love to see Sam, Miguel, Robby, Johnny n Sam father, everyone in the movie were good, I would love to see season 5 do, it's a blessings 🙏, God bless u all in Jesus name. Amen
We need our new actors and voice animated thanks for animes fans tv shows and television, video games, movies. Matoro's Legacy Ignition Saga bionicle series. Hopefully is more episodes coming out next!
Stingray is my FAVORITE character and I hated that they put him on "probation". It was just the excuse the writers used to get rid of the character. They could have kept him by having him lie and say the students attacked him forcing him to defend himself and the lie is believed (not a stretch, those kids did a LOT of harm).
Some said that he won UNFAIRLY that he CHEATED but I TOTALLY DISAGREE and I think his win was TOTALLY FAIR GAME. The kids (especially MIGUEL) needed to learn ALWAYS to be on your guard and NEVER get over confident or complacent. Miguel made that mistake and I think his win was totally legitimate.
@@mohamedanoofshaheem707 Stingray is my favorite character and the one I most want back (or 2nd to Mike Barnes for the one I most want back) but I am not out of touch with reality enough to consider him superior to Miguel overall (even though he won that "capture the flag" event)
I'm dying! 🤣 They're extremely talented as actors and professional with their interviews, but Gianni couldn't hide his facial expression. As soon as Jake said "Scorpion," Gianni's face said, "Hmm, that's interesting;" Jacob's said, "Whoa, okay" as respectfully as possible, and Xolo had a small laugh that said, "Scorpion? WTF." 😭
@@saw31489 Thankfully their lives aren't dependent on their acting ability then. 🤣 Well, actually, maybe... It's wild to hear about child stars who were popular in the 90s, for example, lose all of their money. All it takes is frivolous spending and one single bad project and then they're back to square one. So, you're right! Their lives really _do_ depend on it. IMHO, the _Cobra Kai_ teen cast is talented, but then you have people like Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins, Jodie Foster, and the list goes on, which is another level of acting ability. My original post regrettably did not take that into consideration, but they are young. As long as they work very hard, some of them might end up being considered as part of that class of acting.
I posted above that he left because he had a movie to appear in and could not be in 2 places at once due to scheduling logistics. I also stated that had the writers wanted to keep him on the show they could have employed the BOY WHO CRIED WOLF metaphor but IN REVERSE where he lies about the kids attacking him and having to defend himself and everyone BELIEVES IT because of the damage and terror the kids caused even giving him the job he applied for. I also said that I wanted him to be like an "adult Hawk" where many beautiful women are fiercely competing with each other for his affections. That would be funny and ironic for him to go from a total incel loser to a stud that beautiful women are fawning over.
Honestly the dude was a creep for partying and drinking with children and then beating the shit out of children on school property. He was fun at first but quickly became cringe.
Growing up I was never into the karate kid movies. I saw bits and pieces of the movies, so going into cobra Kai I knew a lot of the story. But this has really become one of my favorite shows. I’ve watched seasons 1-3 about 20 times already. It’s such a good show and the fighting camera angles are amazing.
I think Pat Morita would love how you worked his character into the show and the things you were doing with the character.. I do think he would have approved.
I actually PREFER his character being dead. It is realistic due to how old both the character and actor for Miyagi would be and dealing with the pain of losing his mentor is a good part of Daniel's development much as losing Yoda was for Luke Skywalker. If Pat Morita WAS still alive (theoretically possible. As rare as it is the world's oldest people live 120 years) I STILL would want his character to be dead but if the actor was alive and both able and willing to appear he COULD appear in certain flashback scenes like maybe shown training a little girl actress who is the 5 year old version of Samantha or maybe in a dream or flashback memory Daniel is having much as "Koba' who was killed in the 2nd movie of the newest version of Plante of the Apes appeared in dreams and flashbacks so much in the 3rd movie he almost seemed like a full character. The writers of STAR WARS could have kept Yoda alive as much as they wanted due to him being a PUPPET but knew losing his mentor would be a part of Luke's story. I think if Pat was still alive it would STILL be better for Miyagi the character to be dead.
This show rocks, everything is amazing, the writing, the stunts and the incredibly talented cast. I don't think it gets the recognition it truly deserves because it's so light hearted and doesn't take itself too seriously, but the skill it takes to imbue a 2020's streaming series with the soul of the original 1980's source material, while keeping it original and entertaining in its own right for four straight seasons...10/10
@@reposter6434 I'm talking about critical recognition for its writing, not it's public reception. Thought I articulated my point clearly, but I guess not.
I have so much to say but I want to bring light to the Asian girl who will be a force to be reckoned with in season 5. When she lost Johnny said it’s ok and she says of course it’s ok I’ve only been training for a few weeks. She is gonna be badass is season 5
I've no doubt she will be. There won't be a tournament in season 5 so they will develop her character along with the other other younger cast members because the others will be too old for the under 18 tournament for season 6...or something like that
I want Paul to become a massive star - he has done so much over the past 5 years - Kingdom, Cruella, Blackkklansman, I,Tonya, Late Night, Richard Jewell and Da 5 Bloods.
Love to see Paul have a role back in Cobra Kai, even if it’s a cameo I enjoyed the humor he brought and even here being shirtless going with MO as “Scorpion” instead of “Stingray” gave me a laugh. (I’m definitely in the minority with that opinion though)…
I feel like the only person who is any bit like his/her character on the show is Mary Mouser/Sam. The rest of them are totally different in their demeanor and the way they talk.
A great plot device for getting Aisha back would be her character turning 18 (come back on the actual birthday) and explaining that her parents were so upset over the school brawl that they refused to let her take karate or even interact with anyone else involved. Maybe they sent her far away to a boarding school but now that she is 18 they have no say in the matter. Returning for training on her ACTUAL birthday would really show how badly she wanted back. I also think because the actors are not getting any younger a way to extend the show would be for the all valley to add a new "age division" of "young adult" which would be 18 through 20 so that the characters would only need to be under 21 instead of under 18 to compete. That would add 3 more years to the "shelf life" of the show. Maybe the adult division could have more full contact fights like MMA or kickboxing, breaking challenges where you compete to break wood and ice and stone. weapons fighting (maybe with sticks and while wearing protective body padding just to see who is more skilled with various weapons).
Yes! That scene where she threaten Tory after she returned school I was like she like little mouse trying to prove she's tough 😂😂😂 I do feel like Sam gets way to much on the show, but Mary seems more like Moon in real life.
@@DrOrr Speak for yourself he is my FAVORITE CHARACTER. If I could only have ONE character returned from the entire franchise it would be Mike Barnes but just for this show it would be Stingray.
Who DOESN'T like the show? NO ONE. This show serves as a better sequel then actual sequel movies would have! Guys like me (boys in the 80s), have waited for nearly 30 years for something we hoped would happen, and you all have delivered! You're the best...AROUND lol.
Such an incredible show, really, and I never really saw Karate Kid! I was already an adult and of course I saw a clip of the end, who didn't? But Cobra Kai with the amazing actors, the compelling storyline, and how they brought back people from the original series and of course, finally, the martial arts is probably the best show in history of it's kind There ain't nothing like it
When Xolo mentioned that Zoe Kravitz was his celebrity crush, I realized that after he was casted as Blue Beetle, he and her would both be in DC Universe because she’s also Catwoman in The Batman.
Different universes. Kravitz is Reeves' Batman universe which is a stand-alone cinematic universe. Blue Beetle is in DCEU with Cavill's Superman, Affleck's Batman, Gadot's Wonder Woman, Momoa's Aquaman, The Rock's Black Adam, etc.
I loved Sam in season 4 for first time tho I liked her at times in other seasons. She needed that dose of Cobra Kai training. Robbie and Tory were both awesome in season 4. Everyone was actually. As a Tang Soo Do black belt I felt that season 4 was probably the best overall as far as martial arts go. The whole cast rocks but Miguel and especially Hawk are my faves. Johnny too.
I hope Season 6 Powers Up Demetri I think that character has greater potential. Also I would love 2C Sam, Tory and Devon form sisterhood And be the baddest Female martial artist N the Valley.
The best line in the season is when he walks into Cobra Kai again and said something like "it's too bad your mom never called me back, I would have been a really cool stepdad"
The two actresses can use their martial arts skills if they need to because they practice iti alot. I use to practice karate back in the day and had stopped using it for years and one of the first things they teach you is how to fall so you won't hurt yourself and I had a new born baby in my arms and for some reason the person behind me move the chair and I was getting ready to sit and instead of crashing and falling with the baby in my arm and hurting the baby and myself I automatically fell the way I was taught in karate school to do years ago. It becomes a reflex. And if anything the baby was laughing like it was having a fun time in my arms and my back wasn't hurt, legs, nothing. This was as an older woman.
YES! When Kreese said "You can leave Karate but Karate never leaves you." ... I felt that in my soul! I took TaeKwonDo YEARS ago (20 at least) and it really is an automatic reflex.
Big thanks to the producers and cast and everyone else who not only bring back happy times, but also developed a new generation of great new bad a$$ characters!
