The long bolts are far more accurate than the short ones. Plus you loose a lot of the short ones inside the target because the power of the bow pushes them in deep and leaves none sticking out. If you harden the target so they don’t disappear inside it blunts and cracks them so there only good for the bin then. The long bolts are more accurate and leave a third of the bolt sticking out so you can pull them out without cutting your target open to get them.
You can check on www.up-bolt.com long bolt magazines, we have it from 2 materials. And soon (at May 20) will have universal mag (that works for short and long bolts).
You might not need too much of them. At least for me it takes close to 100 shots without significant visual damage. Never had installed one longer, because I use those crossbows for testing and must change frequently setups. I would like someone to tell me how much one item can tolerate :)
@@smartupgrades I’ve run at least 150 shots and I’m still using my first one. I did the modification to the safety that was shown on the slingshot channel to overcome the auto safety and I had real issues with the bolts coming back too far and misfiring. Destroyed a lot of bolts. Your anti jammer devise stopped this and it works flawlessly now 👍
Exactly my pain with short bolts - reglue vanes after each shooting day. That is why my short bolt Added rests in my wardrobe in a hidden place for hypothetical home intrusion case, that I hope will never happen.
Reload is pretty fast. I am adding 2 arrows at once, so considering you have left 2 bolts in a mag, 3 actions, each takes 2 seconds, so 3 x 2 = 6 seconds, plus preparation and after check, so should fit into MAX 10 seconds if time controlled.
Yes. Or better no, I can focus on PRO shooters. Those who does not need crossbow to be a machine gun. But still considering to pickup a challenge. But this model is to stay anyway :)
But about buying - no worries, they will be buying, long bolts is a value. Honestly, I think that Go Gun alternative "Cobra Adder V3 Extreme Bundle" might be equivalent to this setup: gogun.co/products/adder-v3-extreme-bundle But... it is as much as 874 EUR at this moment ...and I believe there are plenty of guys loving long bolts.
