I know we are just kicking off 2021, but this Driver is at the top of my list. And it's sure to be discounted by now.

I just bought the 9 degree version of this probably wont hit it until next year. UPDATE... played 36 holes so far. Never drove the ball more consistently in my life. Coming from the Cobra ZL Encore so nearly a 10 year old driver. Highly recommend the Xtreme Driver. I set it up at - 1.5 degrees so 7.5 degrees teed very high in front of stance. Hitting it 300 yards. Using the stock Project X HZRDUS Smoke Yellow STIFF (not EXTRA STIFF) UPDATE 2... played about 180 holes now since buying driver. This in my opinion, for me, is the most advanced and functional driver ever made. The Black CNC milled face gives super massive forgiveness (probably due to lineage tracing back to Cobra's E9 Face technology from 2011). Not only that though the driver offers the best all time of all drivers ever made... FEEDBACK. You hit your shot and the ball pattern no matter the color ball you use will be on the black face clear as day to see it... then just spit on your finger and wipe... good for the next hole. Drivers with metal faces you can't see it. This driver hits bombs and is very workable left and right and has unrivaled feedback due the Cobra's new black CNC milled Infinity face technology.

Id love to see them compared at different swing speed ranges, 80 mph, 90 mph and then 100+ please. Just to see if they stay in the same ball park or if a crossover occurs.

Between this video and the one before, I could see your dispersion was somewhat tighter with the SZ Xtreme than the standard SZ and the F9. I'd get the Xtreme then just because my home course is short but tight, rewarding fairway finding over long drives that could easily end up in the trees or the water.

We need to compare all the new lower spin heads to the old SLDR.

Just put this driver in the bag. It has replaced my M2 draw driver I used the past four seasons. First time on course I played a quick Nine holes and hit 6 out of seven fairways, next day hit 10 or 14. Also noticed that my misses were not as far off line. This club isn't any longer than my M2 but after 27 holes it does appear to help me with consistency off the tee.

Hi Mark, this is surely friendlier since higher spin makes it more difficult to tilt the spin axis. Also it will gear slightly less on those toe strikes where the less spinning less stable clubs can get hooky.

Would love to see you review/compare lower priced clubs like TM RBZ series and Callaway X-series. Great video Mark

Great video! Just interested with why you'd start every golfer with the regular speedzone? I picked up the regular speedzone today, but, as a high handicapper, am now wondering if I should have gone for the Xtreme version instead as so many people claim it's more forgiving

I personally like low spin drivers. They go further, however i believe I give up some carry distance....couple of yards but still some. The more forgiving drivers flight look like an airplane taking of while the low spin look like a guy throwing a stone, goes up and down and then runs....it would be like playing a 5 wood vs a driving iron kind of feeling. The SLDR used to be a high launch low spin driver. I’m currently playing a G lst and it works good. Cheers and another great review, still not relating speed with cobra but that’s just me. Saludos!

I know this review is a year old now but if anyone out there is wondering how different this club is than the regular speed zone, just know the difference is pretty massive if you are a high handicapper. The regular is very unforgiving and can be all over the place if you don’t have a consistent swing. You will probably struggle to hit it over 200 yards. The speed zone xtreme is the opposite. Very forgiving and much easier to hit long and straight with an inconsistent swing.

Saw your interview with TXG guys at PGA show and started looking into Cobra speedzone off their 2020 rec. Enjoyed both your reviews, given that cost is the same state side, this will be purely down to a quality fitting and then the look test. Loved to see comparison for those with mid 90 swing speed. 👍

I think I will wait and see other brand reviews. Good insight into the performance but maybe I am wrong there does not seem to be a great improvement on the Speedback. Always enjoy Mr Crossfield's assessments. Tour Edge of the USA apparently have a great driver the Exoctics EXS and I would just love Mark to review it against the big boys.

Head shape & weighting seems very similar to the Callaway Big Bertha Fusion driver from 2-3 years ago

Yeah I would like to see the SpeedZone with the heavy weight in the back against this Xtreme driver, if the stats are the same, well, then why buy the Xtreme when the other can be adjusted. Keep up the videos Mark it's going to be a long winter here in Illinois, thanks.

Not sure why the more forgiving version is called the "Extreme".

It would be cool to compare the normal speedzone to the "tour length" speedzone to see if you're any slower or more accurate when you lose an inch of shaft length

Get it out on the coarse instead of inside even in winter conditions give it to mince to try

Just rewatched earlier review of lower spin option. Your spin comes down and improves carry but ball speeds still low for a 110 club head speed efficiency average of 1.4. Could you do a video on this as your strikes look good?

I'd be going the SZ because with it I can change the weights around to try and get the MOE up a little if I needed to.

Is this similar to say a G400max max?

What are the adjustmemts you can do with the extreme in loft or loft reduction.

Just ordered a speedzone extrema on a sale! Hope i will enjoy it!

Retrospective review, I have the normal Speedzone and I find it to still be incredibly forgiving. I recently tested the Extreme and I will say that head shape is more confidence inspiring. However with the heavy weight at the back, the normal Speedzone performed almost exactly the same. I think the normal Speedzone is the better buy as you can go high moi mode and low spin bomber mode!

Mark, what smash factor do you expect to see with your driving. Looking at your data it’s around 1.4.

eBay will tell you alot about what drivers are good and not good ... People buy on Pros hitting them with zero path zero face perfect launch .. the AVG golfer doesn't .. you have to get fitted an absolute must ..I wonder how many people go to get fitted for something they want i.e. an F9 driver and come.out with something else 🤔

Do you ever check the lofts on the drivers to see if the club makers figures are correct. So, for instance you are testing 2 drivers are they actually both the same loft to start with. Interested to know as different manufacturers irons vary is it the same in drivers?

Would the carry distance between the two be more significant with a slower (mid 80 to 90 +) swing speed ? Probably who the club is more aimed at

If you play this extreme driver with the weight positioned in the back from factory, what really is the difference in playing The other SZ driver and Just manually put the weight in the back ? Other then the head size is a bit bigger.

Do you think the higher MOI has an effect on a slower ball speed, or do you think it's measurable? Just seems to me drivers like this are pressed more toward myself. A max ball speed of around 135-140. I need that little extra launch/spin to keep the ball up in the air to get the best carry I can get.

Mark why are your ball speeds low even though your swing speed is up? Is mainly due to spin up near 3000? I know stick is king here.

How does changing the loft effect driver, does it's open or close the face?
