Both are amazing. I’ think Sonia just got a little tired of playing extreme metal and wanted to be apart of something close to home also. I don’t think it’s easy having a and on the other side of the world for her.

Also the reason why Marty Friedman left Megadeth.he has a different style of playing.

@@bradlord4440 no, he left because he told Dave that Megadeth should either go full pop music, or sound like Korn, instead of the in-between “light metal” they had been doing in Cryptic and Risk. Dave wanted to return to Thrash, and Marty wanted to move to Japan. Dave and Marty never badmouthed each other on the press, because he was the only member to leave out of mutual accord, not because they had different styles of playing, but because they had different visions for the *_future_* of the band, and their own personal lives. If Dave had agreed to go in a heavy “nu metal” direction, Marty probably would’ve stayed. They worked together for ~10 years, that wouldn’t have been possible if they weren’t a great musical match. It was about where to go next that they disagreed on. Sonia stayed in Crypta for like 2 years or less, during a pandemic when they couldn’t tour. She’s a great guitarist, but she was a bad fit for the band from the start.

AOR = Adult Oriented Rock, but Arena-Rock seems also valid.
