It definitely feels awesome covering another song from the band that I owe my most viewed video to :) I love RJA, and this being my favorite track off of the new album (called "Lonely Road", check it out) I fo shizzle wanted to cover it for the White Series. Such a powerful song aswell, the drumming fits the music AWESOMELY.

its like a flam + drag. he drags and then flams while dragging that from his high tom to floor tom i think. that accompanied by bass drum and mikes provide the really solid whole sound we hear.

I'm self taught also and I believe I am far better than a lot of my friends and people I know that have had lessons not trying to sound to up myself. I think when you have lessons it holds you back in a way and you don't end up as creative or passionate about the drumming. That's my opinion anyways. Good job on all your vids dude, your awesome.

@neipsy i'm totally open to thinking same as you.yup, there's a fat chance that the drummers he cover can play the way he does but chooses not to overshadow the band.but i think that's one of cobus's goal in making these covers.but still i've watched his band's original songs and he sure does his fair share of holding back so as to not overshadow his band

Im a huge fan of cobus so people dont get me wrong on this, but at 2:54 theres a snare fill yet he doesnt seem to play it. I know he does 2 takes of each song and then chooses the best bits mixed into one ... so could this be a reason? Even so ... by far one of the best drummers on youtube!

@TheStudentCoder actually its a john bonam thing. its a four hit fill, snare, rack tom, floor tom, bass drum, really fast. john bonam invented it with led zeppelin and it is in quite a few of their songs.

I like the cover, Your a far superior drummer to me, in my own opinion, but I do think that you went a little over board with the track, I think that it is a very powerful song aswell, and you can feel the intensity of it by covering it word for word, so to speak on drums. But great job! Your a very talented drummer, One day i hope to be as favorited as you.
