Ok i found. I think, you come here from this page blog : marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2021/01/friday-assorted-links-293.html Tyler Cowen is like liberal. The fun is, in this video, some part are made in ZAD NDDL (fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZAD_de_Notre-Dame-des-Landes), so its more like anarcho-communism with ecologic view, a lot more near Murray Bookchin :) But, if you are interested about the culture in question. Its Occitan culture, who was the south of France (before France) and be romanized. But this group have a particular part of occitan language. Its Gascon, and sometime Bearn language. It still occitan but special since a part was also mix with romanised Basque language. By luck all the basque is not lost... but we still dont know where this language come from (its not indo-european). Anyway, its also, and most a folk group, song are mad for dance. You can found a documentary "Le grand bal" who show a part of all this. @@Cocanha Merci. Et avoir la traduction de ces 4 lignes, svp ? Parce que tel quel, en traduction simple "cotelon morron", cad : " petit couteau à la tête renfrognée", ça ne va pas loin. On a certes une idée, mais on aimerait bien avoir la version française des 3 (en-)chanteuses ; C'est quand même la version des filles de Cocanha qui est prioritaire pour la traduction... . Sans elle, chacun pourrait proposer ses propres délires

Bonjour. La question à été posée au groupe Cocanha, qui semble trop occupé pour y répondre. Personnellement, je ne vois pas de traduction directe , en mot à mot. Il semble qu 'il faille plutôt la prendre en compréhension imagée. Au 2nd degré. En côte à côte, les mots "cotelon" ( petit couteau) et "morron" ( bourru, renfrogné, "qui ne met pas beaucoup le nez dehors" (et pour cause !) ou... plus intéressant... : "qui a une sale tête, pas avenante, pas sympa, qui a une gueule moche, qui a une tronche laide "), donc côte à côte, ces 2 mots n'ont aucun sens. Par contre ils en retrouvent un en lisant ainsi : Onte as amagat mon cotelon morron Où l'as tu caché mon ("mon", possessif affectueux, celui qui maintenant que je suis devenue ta maitresse, m'appartient en exclusivité, à moi seule ; Ce "petit couteau" ( qui a une tête un peu bizarre et pas franchement sympa à regarder) Diga-me se ton cos garda un cotel pichon Dis moi si ton corps cache qq part un "petit couteau " O morron, quilha-te, fai-me un poton O, Toi , le vilain petit "visage " moche, dresse-toi, et donne-moi un/ton baiser E paupa ! paupa ! cap a l'aucelon Et touche ! , touche ! là où est (mon) " petit oiseau" ( pas besoin de traduction non plus pour cette autre métaphore) ******** D'autres interpretations existent peut-être ? , et seraient les bienvenues. Pour l'instant, c'est celle qui présente le plus de cohérence. Et reflète assez bien la prudence et le jeu de cache-cache habituel des chansons populaires traditionnelles . ********** Donc "cotelon morron", un euphemisme pour nommer le.....?
