Me too I tear up because I would listen to this song over and over again when driving solo in my TR6 when driving from Edmonton Alberta down to San Francisco/Novato to visit family and it kept me company as this song's background was like the beautiful USA country that I drove through. I am surprised and amazed that this band has hardly received any attention in their home country and is actually unknown. Cock Robin is great, their music is wonderfully beautiful and Cock Robin is one of the best bands of the 1980s, whose songs have stormed the charts in Europe and will be played for centuries to come.

I’m sad for young folks these days that missed this era of beautiful music. Mid fifties, and this song was a favorite back in my days. My two girls came up on the 70’s and early 80’s music and I love it that they prefer it over whatever you call music today.

Astounding. To me it sounds just as good as the first time I heard it. I loved his dramatic stance while singing. I love her dancing and her voice. And the music. It was released in the eighties but it is not of the eighties, It's much more powerful.

A perfect example of singing with absolute passion, with so many waves of gentle and reflective moments crashing into grand waves of strength and passion. Why I no longer listen to "pop" music or those type of radio stations any more. Pop music quit any sort of forward evolution about 1990, shortly after the break-up of the band Missing Persons. (There's an irony in that somewhere.) Its now boy bands, girl groups, and various former members of boy bands or girl groups now performing as solo artists... oh, and scions of former sitcom stars (couldn't forget Robin Thicke, sadly.) These days, I'd rather listen to rock, goth, punk... anything but pop music. Pop music is the black hole of popular culture, a singularity that has transcended the metaphorical to begin literally sucking away at the fabric of the universe around us.

Well the slag Madonna's arrival and subsequent welcome from everyone, despite being the biggest and vilest 'musical' cheat on the planet began the rot, sharing it with Pete Waterman, which then killed the 80s and laid the foundations for the hell of all the decades to follow. Nothing but offensive crap after crap, and what's with the extinction of all the arsehole critics too. They they were in the 80s tearing down everything in the 80s, yet loving the shit. Now we've nothing BUT shit, all they do is lap it up, like music somehow got CREATED every minute a new tosser/s comes out. Fucking nasty, hateful, pointless, illogical, and all that.

There's a lot of white noise buzzing around but the music is out there if you look for it. And people are exploring music is many different ways. It's just that technology has made it easy to expand your horizons and to put lipstick on a cookie cutter pig. There's an exponential sea of crap out there to wade through.
