I feed my cockatiels chop, egg food, carrots, cucumbers, mangos, Minerals blocks, corn (not canned corn) and some give medicine sometimes in their water to make sure they are healthy

I have a cockatiel. I fed him from two weeks old with nutribird formula. Now it is almost 4 months old. I give him some fruit tree branches. Everyday I put him seeds. But I wonder why it is not eating sunflower seeds. Now I am thinking about buying female cockatiel for him.

Please keep the baby in a proper diet. You can get ideas from this video. He is so young now. If you buy another bird he will get completely detached from you. Better wait until he gets older ♥️👍

Patience, love and yummy food are the keys. Give them some time to get used to their new home. Interact with them..talk to them on a daily basis. Gradually they will start trusting you and surely they will be much more friendly.. Btw how old are the birds? If they are grown ups and in pairs then it is bit difficult to get them tamed.

Which one he recommended? Electral? It is usually used during emergency situations to avoid dehydration in birds. You can give it as per the dosage mentioned by the vet 👍❤️

One more doubt , can we feed cocktiels Indian borage plant leaves ? I heard that budgies will eat it , so cocktiels can too ?

Borage is not recommended, as the leaf and seeds has a component which gradually causes liver and organ damage. Wild birds drinks honey from flower but the leaves are not good for the birds.

You can keep the millets or seeds in the food bowl always. They will eat it whenever it is required. You should remove the veggies/ fruits/ chops after sometime 🧡👍 if your baby is on handfeeding then you have to set time .

Basic Mixed, Natural Food Diet • 25% vitamin enriched cockatiel seed mix 25% cockatiel pellets 25% vegetables, dark leafy greens and fruit 15% cooked rice, pasta, corn and bean mixture • 10% table foods, grains, cereal, bread, pasta,cheese, eggs, meat etc. Fresh drinking water changed 3-5 times daily.

You can add fresh veg and fruit chops to their diet. Cooked carrots and corn are also good choices, as are the broccoli and almonds you are offering. Place this warm food in the cage, along with dry foods like his pellets, seeds, millet spray, multi grain bread and of course fresh water.

I usually get it from pet shops juat like that. No brands nothing. Make sure there is no dirt. You can wash and dry before giving to your bird.

The amount needed for a mature cockatiel of seed or pellets will generally be 1.5 to 2 level Tablespoons (30 - 40 grams) a day. Other than this you can give them fruits and veg chops, sprouts etc too 😊👍

Your's is a lutino Cockatiel? Usually baldness in cockatiel is a genetic defect. If it is due to nutrition issues just provide the healthy diet & little baldness is cute in cockatiels 😁 I too have a bald one 👍 If your baby is healthy and active, that's what matters!

No you should not. That is made for human babies. Diary products are not good for birds. Bird formula like Nutribird, Kaytee exact are available in pet stores and families,even online too. Birds are very sensitive 😊👍❤

Depends aap kitna time uske sath spend karte ho. Aap agar baby ko handfeed karke paal raheho to vo bahot jald attached hojayee. Aap same words repeat kar sakti ho, whistle bhi vo imitate karte he. You need lots of patience to gain their trust and love ❤👍

Veggies should be 50-60% of most birds diets. 15-20% pellets (tops and Harrison pellets are the best and the only ones you should give your birds.) 10-15% sprouts and 10% seeds. (use seeds for training and recall)😊 Nice video!

My cockatiel is 6 weeks old and I still need to feed him formula twice a day. During the day, he barely eat on his own unless I put the pellets in my palm he will eat a bit. How do I get him to try fresh food and he didn’t wanna try bananas and apples… is he still too young for me to feed him fresh food?

This is bit early .. you can introduce veg and fruit chops sprinkled with millets or sprouts from 8th week.. Now continue giving the chick formula. TYPE PARROT FEEDING CHART IN GOOGLE. YOU CAN SEE THE QUANTITY AND TIME 💕👍

You can sprinkle millets over the fruit or veg chops. They will gradually get used to it.. don't worry.. Give green leaves too.. Coriander, Cabbage, lettuce etc 👍👍
