What an adorable cockatiel!! good job, Biscuit! I love him and his throat/cheeks that puff out when he whistles. I think mine does that, but just more noticeable on camera. 😍
I have got a 6 months old boy Lucky. My father taught him how to sing Bridge over the River Kwai which has been my father's favourite whistle since his childhood. He wanted me to comment on your video. Liked it.
I adore the happy, absorbed expression on cockatiels' faces as they mangle some human tune. Now, you have to teach him the x-rated words ("Hitler has only got one ball . . . ").
May I ask you a question? Do you always let him walk around and fly around the house freely? If so, does he poop everywhere ... or is he trained? I am thinking about getting a bird ... but some people say they make a mess all over the house.
Today my cocktaiel died for no reason. Last day I saw he somebow became very sleepy and began to shake like shit+he had lost its strength and couldn't eat. I said I will bring it to the vet but I found him dead in the morning. What could possibly cause such a death in such a short amount of time. I remember I fed my bird yesterday his usual stuff including grains and he was totally fine.
Hi Sorry for the late reply. Biscuit is around 3-4 years. I'm not 100% sure but as he was a rescue bird and we didn't know how old he was when we got him. He does appear to be young but. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
Thank you for replying. Rescue birdy huh? Lucky bird. Lucky you :) Biscuit is lovely. I have 5 hand reared cockatiels. Couldn't stop at one! They are so sweet and full of life. And cute as when they totter about. But so vulnerable looking. It kills me at times when I watch them. So fragile.
The poor thing hardly has a chance to get it right when the tune is being so grotesquely mis-pitched by its 'tutor'. 'Good job' is elicited when the bird retails the wrong tune accurately enough; but it's the blind (or at least tone deaf) leading the blind here.
@@AussieRebornSupplies While I doubt the "poor thing" will suffer in the slightest over this, I agree there's potential for a much more sharply accurate rendition of the melody in this bird. Not that you owe the world to bring out the best of human - bird tonality, it's just one of those things. Very cute all the same.
