Thank you for your sweet comments. These are my babies. I have 8 birds total, only 5 cockatiels. I only have males because it's the way things work out sometimes. I purchased 2 of them. The other 3 came through rescue, a gift and a friend. Actually they do fly most the time. I clip them during summer so I can take them out safely. They are flighted at least 7-8 months of the year. Even then they have a tendency to just take a stroll like the video. The little guy in the corner is not friendly with the rest of the pack. He is 17 and has a mind of his own and doesn't have time for them. He is the sweetest little guy on the planet. I don't for one minute want anyone to think this is all fun. It has it's moments and is a lot of work and expense to keep everyone healthy and happy. And a lot of dedication. For me it is wonderful.
I used to have one like yours! He was my baby, Mr father bought him for me we had to feed him constantly, he wasn't able to eat seeds yet!! He flayed out my door 10 years ago, i miss he very much , my dad past away and that was so hard knowing he bought him for me!!! Love your birds nice video!!! 💞💖💕 👍😆😊😀🙌😘
Paulette Porter "I clip them during summer so I can take them out safely." - Cockatiels are very light, they will fly even clipped when scared. Clipping them won't reduce the danger of an accident. If you want to take them out, take them out in a cage or train them to wear a harness. Depriving them from a possibility to flight is like paralyzing a human. flock-talk.tumblr.com/post/106213983303/i-saw-that-you-dont-clip-your-birb-wings-if-i flock-talk.tumblr.com/post/94537539548/flighted-birds-hit-windows-fly-away-get-hurt You seem to be a responsible bird owner knowing much about them. There is huge amount of sources providing misinformation about it, so I'm not surprised many bird owners do it. Please, read those two articles and reconsider your decision. Please.
Every time I see parakeets 'budgies' and cockatiels, my heart melts. After owning them, I know just how special birds are. I couldn't own any more though, it hurts too much to lose them. I love them.
So friggin' funny! I could stop laughing. They're like a bird swarm or a school of fish. I like that one who stayed behind to guard the playgym. Great video!!!!
I love floorbirds. I have some too; 14 parakeets, 3 cockatiels, 2 doves and 1 chicken. They spend more time running around on the floor and playing under the furniture than on their trees and play areas.
hahahaha! 3 are little wind-up toys perfectly in sync, one is adlibbing a bit, and one is just not playing the game at all and just "vants to be alone, darlink"! hahahaha! very cute!
Cutest cuties ever. I love how they are following the leader - whomever the leader is for the half second. It's like they've never seen this before and must explore, then then remember to go home, then OH they've never seen this before, explore! Oh, home! Oh, Explore! lol soo cute!
The young small bird on the playset at the beginning of the video reminds me of my own, she had nothing to do with the other birds. Your Cockatiels are very beautiful! And your macaw is beautiful as well!
How absolutely precious!! I love how they are just waddling along together like that, what a sweet bunch. I'd love to see a video of your hyacinth too!
@ BRIANNA MONTALVO If you think 5 cockatiels are expensive I am guessing you missed the macaw on the video XD Anyways very good job with the flock although I am jealous of your set up/house! :P Can you post more please!
The reason they walk around a lot is that they are ground foraging birds 😊 I love seeing them waddle about and they are surprisingly quick too! I wonder what they are looking for. They are definitely working together lol except the loner by the ladders
Thankyou for showing us your awesome birds! I owned 5 cockatiels, up until January this year lost my Charlie (pictured). I have 4 left, one left that looks like your grey ones! I love the gym you guys have set up for you birds too! It's so good to see kind, bird friendly people.
