Cockatoo Body Language: Understand What Your Bird Feels
Almost every move that your Cockatoo makes explains something about its feelings. If your Cockatoo is frequently bobbing its crest, it might be feeling unsafe; probably because of a new toy or pet. But if it drops its crest and makes adorable sounds, it is happy.
Similarly, the way Cockatoos expand or close their wings also explains how they are feeling. If a Cockatoo stretches its wings and screams, it is trying to protect and scare-off any nearby predators. But if its wings are closed, it is not in defending position.
