This is a great video, one hell of an approach. Captain comments about the sun being almost directly in their faces - 'extremely unfavorable' @ 3:22 : 'Sonne steht äußerst ungünstig'. Great crew. great air line.
+Marc Lumier You're right. He was captain on Airbus 340 before. Afterwards, he became captain of Airbus A380. This video is from 2005. The other video was in 2011 (6 years later). But now he is retired. :)
I just took this same flight from MUN to SFO: service perfect, flight fun, flight attendants super friendly. A 340's are perfect if you are really tall, as they only have two seats on the isles. Really comfortable no matter which class you are in.
It's so funny how Mr Raps tries to stay calm while dealing with the FO. I already had an annoying FO on one of my flights. That's one of the really bad situations
i saw a moovie ,with an A380,from Germany to SFO,i recognise the voice of the captain,and his Famous "continue" when altimeter tell 200 ,i'm sure it's captain Jurgen

Das war sehr sehr gut und ich gebe den Piloten 5 Punkte Ich bin 65 yo alt und bin seit 20 Jahren in der Flug Avionik als Hobby . ich kenne einige Piloten Weltweit und verstehe, Pilot zu sein ist eine Berufung , aber auch ein toller Beruf, macht auch viel Spaß in 10 km Höhe zu fliegen.
Das könnte schon sein , aber Stuss ist das nicht. man kann mit AP normal reden aber Frisko oder LA Landeanflug ist etwas ungewöhnlich, die Routinierte Toweransprache ist nur Stubiede !
P.s.: Herr Raps ist ein durchweg sympathischer Mensch und war ein hervorragender Pilot. Aber auch sein Englisch ( trotz seiner Wahlheimat USA) lässt zu wünschen übrig. Egal. Er konnte sich verständlich machen und war ein fähiger Chef.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself when they were landing...I think maybe it was another runway because I didn't see those rocks like the Asiana runway had..Maybe I just didn't see it...Also, I think Asiana came in manually and Lufthansa came in using ILS...I may be wrong about that also, so don't flame me :)

Nothing wrong with her attitude. I'm sure the german doesn't help, but she looks very proficient and professional and works well with that captain. Seems like you've got a couple people who agree with you, so now that I've said my peace I'll leave it be.

Uno, dos, tres, cuatro :D la lista! haha que buena. Ich möchte gerne bei Lufthansa bewerben aber ich wohne in Chile, ich spreche auch spanisch und ist lustig "completo" und "la lista" hören. Eig. sollte "completA" sein weil Lista ist weiblich ;)
