Hey man, I love airplanes and I know some information about the SR-71 cockpit (may not be 100% correct). So in the left back side are all the circuit breakers (way less that the right side), and oxygen. Between the throttle and the breakers are the radio and lightning controls. three oxygen systems: two normal, one for emergency. Some engine "emergency controls" and inlet doors bypasses are on the left of the cockpit levers. Front panel: On the left part of the panel there is internal and external temperature control, oxygen levels, landing gear controls and cabin pressure. (there is a lot more stuff but these are the main components). On the center, there is an AOT gauge on the left of the artificial horizon. Left side of the compass there is an equivalent airspeed indicator. Below the compass there is a heading panel and on the left of the panel there is knots, altitude and mach. Left of that there is the outside air pressure. Below that there is an accelerometer. Below the heading there is a little display which you can use to see where you are. Right side of artificial horizon there is a clock (yep a clock), altitude and the two RPM gauges on the right of the altitude meter. Right side of the heading there is the vertical speed indicator, two fuel flow gauges, two manual RPM dials, oil pressure, temperature etc. On the right part of the panel is the fuel meter, liquid nitrogen meter, purge controls, battery switch, igniter purge and fuel flow meter (because angle of attack affects the fuel flow), two generator switches , emergency fuel dump switch and fuel tank select switch. Right side now! stability system, autopilot, pitch and roll wheels, navigation, comms, engine startup switches, all circuit breakers (way more than the left side) That's basically it! That's about 60% of all the stuff there is! Sorry in advance if this comment is huge :D

God the SR-71 is just such a bad ass aircraft despite the inaccuracies that you are forced to implement due to storm works weirdness, and just one more thing there's a really good reason the SR-71 doesn't have ejection seats lol

For the front seat windows you can just flip a 2x3 wedge window and the seat would fit almost perfectly.

so as an quick fact there was no middle glass part. it was just an beam.

You can merge a part then brake the connecting blocks at (5:30) and it will still work

sometimes there would be an auxiliary fuel tank behind that back seat or some equipment like a radio and stuff like that.

Add an rocket booster to simulate the RAMJET, irl sr 71 had the turbo jet and the ramjet, stormworks does not have the ramjet but it have the 3x3 rocket booster, or the 5x5 if you want

You briefly mentioned ejection seats, that will be today’s trivia! (Sorry it’s late). Obviously the wind is a major concern in the ejection process, if you at a low enough altitude and are going quick enough, it can tear you apart. But, even so, the atmosphere is so thin at 80,000 feet, that a Blackbird pilot ejecting going Mach 3, would only experience the same wind blast as ejecting at 175 knots at sea level. It would also take around 50 seconds for them to reach their new terminal velocity. (That includes the time it would take to leave the plane as well I believe.) Also, the pressurized suits they wore cost 30k then, which is around 130k + adjusted for inflation. But also, each pilot was issued two suits, each with an estimated life span of 10-12 years.

I think at eye height a hud with aim or something could be pretty good.

Like the person below me said the middle glass part in the cockpit of the pilot, not on the canopy, was just a beam or line.
@ProfNCognito
@ProfNCognito 7 месяцев назад
no glass on top it is a beam
@officiallygenix7382

@@ProfNCognito I mean like the static part of the pilot's cockpit the actual window in the front, the center should be a beam, I can't really send a picture of what i mean but sit in the pilot's seat then look ahead if there is a glass part the diagonal part, it should be a beam, it basically splits the left and right diamond windows or whatever shape they are.
